For the price, the quality of this game is very good. Not a ton of missions, but the graphics, sound and gameplay are very well done. The controls are easy to pick up, and the difficulty comes from the strategy of deciding where to commit resources for defences and where to attack. You can't defend all generators equally. The game runs well and the mech movement is very smooth. I'm very impressed with this game so far. It may not be something you'll sink 500 hours into, but the foundation for a really solid game is here.

There are some good ideas in the game, but the quality is far from the modern standards. Not like i regret the money spent, but it's just not fun. I'll put a thumbs up to support the devs and hope one day they will release part 2 with all the flows fixed.

This game is a very interesting mixture of Strategy, Tower Defense, and Twin-stick shooter set in the Cyberpunk theme. The main menu design of the game is very good. We can talk to the characters in the hanger and get some backgrounds and tutorials of how the game works. We also have a few options for weapons and armor to customize our Mech. The game consists of eight Domination missions plus six Defense missions which we can play with our lovely Mech! Domination missions are straightforward but on the other hand, Defense missions are consist of fifty waves of enemies with increasing difficulty after each level. This is not so bad but the number of waves is too much and it can be boring to play these missions. Happy Gaming

Mixing top down shooter and a tower defence could produce a good game, if only the devs cared enough to actually finish the game instead of releasing some kind of a tech demo. So, what do we have here?

Mech customisation. It is barely above “non-existent”. “Technically” you have 4 primary weapons, but considering that only the last one is viable, all of them work almost the same and you can get any of them after the first or second mission - I would just say that there is one primary weapon in the game. 2 secondary options consist of one useless and one useful gun, so no real choice here either. You can swap armour, but even after trying everything I didn’t find any difference. You can swap legs for minor speed buffs/HP tradeoffs. And that’s it, no subsystems, no specials, no additional weapons even though you have a free hand, no choices of gear to make as there is nothing to choose from.
Shooting part. Basic, simple, generic. As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, there is only one main and one secondary gun, so you just hold LMB and click RMB on bigger enemies. Enemies have the exact same guns that you can get, and all of their chassis differ only visually: a toyota(!) with a tesla gun will do the exact same thing as a mutant with a tesla gun - run towards you and shoot. Oh, and bigger enemies have bigger HP I guess. There are no swarms, no ranged or melee specialist enemies, nothing, just generic enemies with generic guns.
Tower defence part. The exact same guns but placed on a stationary turret, yay. With an added “feature” of having more range the pricier the turret is, so there is no point in buying anything but the last turret in the list, as any other will be outranged by enemies. But even those will need constant babysitting as there is no auto repair function in the game and you will have to MANUALLY select repairs for one turret at a time - basically in any story mission it is easier to rush your enemy than try to engage with the whole tower defence mechanics bs.
Base management and unlocks. Those are just false advertisements. You have everything unlocked to begin with, and the only things you can buy at your base are ammo for your secondary and sprint fuel - both of those things spawn in mission so there is no point in having them here.
Game mods. “Campaign” consists of a few maps that are not linked in any way shape or form. There is no plot, there is nothing holding this thing together. And it took me 75 minutes to finish it. Defence missions are incredibly dull as you just sit and wait for the wave to come, clear it, rebuild half of your turrets (as they are mostly useless) and wait again. Each map takes from 40 minutes to an hour to finish - and it is just tedious.
Bugs. Yes, they are here. From enemies shooting through walls, to you getting stuck in random places for a few seconds - in such a short game with this little content bugs are simply unacceptable.
Overall - dull, generic, empty game that has next to zero content and offers nothing in terms of enjoyment. Avoid.

The perfect combination of Top-down Shooter with Tower Defense AND MECH'S, really addictive game. The capture the flag/base style and the freedom to put turrets anywhere to defend/attack are really great idea's. Active dev who want's feedback, that's a right way to build a good community. Really recommended.

Armed to the Gears is high simple mech game that tries to blend with a Tower Defense. You march onto a battlefield trying to conquer the command points, each one rewarding energy which can be used to build defenses or call in air strikes. The enemies will spawn in and try to take the command points back. Rinse and repeat. There is also a set of defense missions if you want to play for way too long. All-in-all, the "Fully featured campaign" is about 15 missions and a few hours of content. Completing missions will net you credits to... umm... maybe buy a single weapon or some fuel? It's hard to call this anything of customization or progression because you're spending money to swap between 4 dirt cheap weapons. One you own something you like... it just stops and you buy ammo. It's highly underwhelming. The problem is that there's a good core. Sometimes, there are moments where it feels that it's just getting good and then it stops... unable to stick the landing on any system. All of the customization, all of the maps, everything... all leads to the only functional strategy of "Keep one base alive while you destroy spawners". The towers are all borderline useless and even the highly expensive missile pods get killed by a single infantry that was too small to hit. They might slow down an invasion, but as long as the enemy is spawning unlimited... you're doomed. Once you take out the spawners you can exploit it by building supply towers and stocking up on Ammo and Fuel for future missions... again... undercutting the shopping system. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Armed to the Gears quite a bit. But it's either a bad game or a great tech demo.

Decent look, no substance. It's playable, but there isn't really any reason to. Generic top-down shooter where you capture areas to be able to spawn useless turrets. Most of your time is spent just walking around slowly. I also really dislike the fact that your mech aims at the grown, and that you have to place the cursor dead center on enemies in order to attack them, otherwise your shooting at the ground behind them for example. I say skip this one sadly.

I enjoyed both minutes of this game...literally like an hour of game play. No real mech customization either: thee different guns, 3 different armor types, and that's it. Looks good and plays well. Kind of like the start of a decent game? Just not enough bang for your buck here. Don't pay more than $5.

This game feels like a demo. There is virtually no customization and upgrades. There are like 4 weapons total, 3 different frames and 3 different legs. Each map is the same thing.
