SCREW THIS GAME!!!!! Not only does this game poorly explain what and how it wants from the player. Let me set up a scenerio vs what the game wants. I start in front of my car of which I can open. I see a truck button which would open the trunk ONLY WHEN THE GAME LETS ME. After, taking 1 box upstairs and not all 5 to be placed on the table. I noticed tools in the back room. After I get a tool to go upstairs and find a loose floorboard. I go downstairs to get a tool that would open the floorboard. Of corse this isn't what the game devs want so the game bugs me saying I need something to open the floor board. after a while the character says to go to the attic and find the tool. When, I do I get a puzzle which is so poorly done I just skipped it. Then, I got a key. Tried it on EVERY BLOODY DOOR AND OBJECT. But nope it wouldnt even open the attic door or anything. I went outside but the main character said I need to finish the stuff in the house. I would finish my tasks if the game would bloody let me. For every task your given you have to do it in a way the game wants you to do it. Which is very different from Resident Evil, Clock tower, Fatal frame and many other horror themed games . This game felt so poorly thought out. I just can't recommend this game . I had to reset the game a few times at each checkpoint just to progress. That's how much of a bad time I had with this game.

The first horror game that actually scared me in a while. There are a ton of jumpscares which got a little annoying at times but in general, a pretty good experience so far

This has to be my fav horror game. i have played outlast and amnesia , those game are very good but this has the best mind bending story. The gameplay feels premium even though its an indie game. The Plot Twist was too good. Game has multiple endings and Jumpscares were decent. The Best thing is that the game had question mark after its shown as THE END ?

A rare game with photorealistic graphics that provides a cinematic experience. The chapters alternate between day and night, mixing horror and thriller genres. If you don't mind the numerous puzzles that appear during the daytime chapters, you can get into the game. Overall, it's the best horror game since Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) The Beast Inside is a gripping psychological thriller that masterfully blends historical mystery with modern-day horror. Developed by Illusion Ray Studio, the game weaves together two parallel narratives—those of Adam, a CIA cryptanalyst in the Cold War era, and Nicolas, a tormented man from the 19th century—as their stories slowly unravel into a shared descent into madness. What I Loved: Atmosphere & Visuals: The game is visually stunning. From decrepit Victorian mansions to misty forests, the detailed environments are both immersive and chilling. The lighting and sound design build tension beautifully, making every creaking floorboard or distant whisper feel ominous. Storytelling: The dual-timeline narrative is a standout. Switching between the two protagonists keeps the pacing fresh and the mystery intriguing. Both stories are compelling on their own, but it's how they intertwine that delivers the emotional punch. Puzzles: The cryptographic and environmental puzzles are clever and engaging, offering a satisfying break from the intense horror moments. They’re integrated well into the plot, enhancing immersion rather than feeling like roadblocks. What Could Be Better: Predictable Scares: While the atmosphere is excellent, some jump scares feel formulaic. Horror veterans may see them coming. Limited Replay Value: Once the story is completed, there’s little incentive to replay unless you want to find all collectables or secrets. Verdict: The Beast Inside is a polished, story-driven horror experience that combines beautiful visuals with an emotionally resonant mystery. It's not flawless, but for fans of atmospheric thrillers and horror narratives, it's absolutely worth the plunge. NOTE: Please note, I have this game on PC and on Xbox Series X - so my time on record does not link with completing the game as it was completed on Xbox

Really great atmosphere and pacing with the PC swaps and even if the ending choices were bit minimal in terms of what changes it held together until the end. Though the part of the dev team that though placing all these random desk drawers, cupboards, shelf drawers and what not there and then making them hold and drag to open must have had few giggles. Especially since 9 out of 10 times the drawers contain nothing but on the chance they do have the interactable icon whispers to me like the
Ebil Nicholas
whispered to Adam's ancestor. At least devs weren't sadistic enough to place the journal pickups to absolute random places in the wilds and mines but they were close and near the actual objectives, small solace. And for the sequel maybe tone down the jumpscares a bit, if you 1-2-3 them back to back too often they just bleed out the tension and anxiety of expecting them.

It's alright. Mechanics are similar to games like Amnesia and it's got some creepy locations, although it relies mostly on artificial jump scares for it's thrills. There are a few simple code breaking puzzles, some run while being chased sections, and a number of quick-time events scattered throughout. Early on you are given a device that drives the plot forward but the capabilities of the device are honestly absurd and it feels out of place in this game. It's definitely made well enough to be worth it on sale, particularly for fans of games like Amnesia.

I am still confused by almost everything that happened in the game :) It is by all means a "Classic" horror game. Stealth, exploring, jumpscares, paranormal stuff happening constantly. If what you are looking for is something you yourself want to consider a cult classic, alone, this is it. Only downsides are that the stealth mechanic is kind of weak, you have many more resources as Nicholas than you are going to need throughout the whole game and we needed more decoding puzzles (last one is just preference :P). 8 hours of pure gameplay and just really chill of a game.
