What kind of game is it? I wondering after playing till passing the normal level. Touhou? Ye it is a scrolling bullet shooting game but no it isn't a danmaku game. Raiden? Ye it is similar but actually no. That makes me surely giving it a thumb down.

The screenshots make it look decent, and it's a well-detailed anime-style bullet hell shooter, but that's about all that's good about it. The UI is too difficult to understand, the sounds are so-so unless you like the super-cute "happy hardcore" style of J-Pop, and the menus with broken English text are too difficult to understand. It's also very difficult even on easy. It also would have benefitted from local multiplayer (co-op would have been perfect). Even if you like the yuri style (basically anime for girl-girl) this game is more frustrating than fun. This developer has better shooters than this one, so look elsewhere. It feels too much like a rush job.

Picked it up because I like shmups with mechanics like swapping characters (Ikaruga, etc.). It's a cute little game, but my first run of it seemed to signify that it's one of those shmups where you can (and kinda have to) grind out gear. If you can get over that, it seems to be worth a play, especially at just a few bucks.

A bit lewd, but great graphics, great music and interesting gaming mechanics to make this stand apart from the usual shmup and add an element of strategy. If you like Deathsmiles, this is a must-have. Got it on sale for 50% off.

A fun game with a rather neat upgrade system, nothing fancy about it but at the same time it's appreciated all the same. I mean the visuals and the game play are challenging and fun all at the same time.

Maidens of a hollow dream is a yuri horizontal shumup, finally I know how to answer this difficult question, next time somebody ask me in what I believe, I will tell them, maebari, the ultimate form of clothing, oh the game? yeah its great, the tutorial takes some time but it plays great, have two different types of shot, auto fire and button mashing, for what I understand about shumups, button mashing is awesome, but there is two problems, your keyboard can break if you press with too much pressure in the buttons and you can lose sensibility in your hands, making it feel numb for a few minutes, if your thumb start moving randomly, take a break and and play again after a few hours, so I got say I love yuri, and that was my first yuri shumup ever, the main menu and difficulty is really impressive stuff and you definitively should try. +amazing graphics +maebaris +awesome soundtrack +cool gameplay 10/10

Ecchi aside, this is a good game. You like bullet hells and similar shooters? You'll like this one so much. Like Ecchi? Just gravy. Dislike Ecchi? Still a good game. Buy it. It's cheap!

It's embaressing how fun this game is! The mechanics are a lot of fun, once you get the hang of things. It has a very Deathsmiles meets Akai Katana feel. With a bit of practice, and coins to upgrade, it's pretty easy to complete the first loop. In fact, if you upgrade enough, it becomes almost mundane and too easy.

I love shmups, I didnt buy this game for the longest time because quite honestly I though it would make me feel dirty playing it. But wow, its not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Overal its a very competant shmup. Really cool shot system, upgrade system etc. I would have to say it easily has one of the best background music I personally ever heard, so upbeat and cheerful! Got it on sale for half price, thought why not? Glad I did, its a really nice cheerful game if you love shmups and anime.
