Well the game had mostly positive ratings so I said to myself why not. I like "bad endings" and so on. But Sadly I am very disappointed. I have not completed this game due to a bug which I will describe later. I will start with bad endings. There are only a few of them and those are not very good. Usually the main heroine dies or is dead. I hoped that 4 main bosses will have some interesting bad endings but none of them have any ending ,or at least 2 of them, more on that later. Each of those bosses has its own theme so it had some potential for interesting bad endings but oh well. Close combat is quite bad. You can dodge but it is so clunky to execute. Magic works much better, at least I had some fun using different combinations of spells. Enemies hit you so much that I am not sure if you can even complete the game using close combat. There is also archery but I have not tested it. Level design is also not very good. Maps are very large, you can sprint but for a limited amount of time and then you have to wait to get it back. Outside of combat, the sprint should be infinite. I think I spend too much time traversing those large maps. Dungeons are either complex or simple. I enjoyed those small dungeons more because more complex ones usually have platforming with let's say interesting enemy placement. In the end this ultimately made me not complete the game. You cannot pause in this game. Game has a lot of skills that can be selected. You can only change them in the menu with skills. As a mage I often changed those spells. In dark dungeon level I could not safely select skill because enemies constantly were killing me. No auto save and in later game save points are almost not existent. At least the game has some checkpoints in the dungeons. Quest did not make me believe that I achieved something. Especially when I finished my first main dungeon with a very important boss (according to the quest line). On return to the quest giver there was no response... In mage village there is a quest to kill 30 goblins. So I went to a cave where there are a lot of goblins and I started grinding, killing other enemies in that cave. On return I received another quest from the same character to kill 30 imps... I just killed those when I was killing goblins... I should be able to get those two quests from the beginning, it was very annoying to go to the cave and kill those monsters again. I finished my experience with this game when I was doing the third main dungeon. There was a lava platforming section where you had to defeat the enemy in order to open the door. I killed the enemy and then the camera went to show me that door opens. At that time it seems I must have fallen into the lava. When I respawned my camera was locked just like in that cut scene. I could move but the camera was stuck. Nothing helped and I could not finish the level so I restarted the game. My last save was before the main dungeons when I was finishing all other quests. If there could be any save point before entering one of the main dungeons or some auto-save I would be able to continue. I gave up and started to write this review. In general it was not a pleasant experience. Game has potential though. I do not recommend this even on sale. I came here for bad endings... ended up with a bad ending myself. Maybe the next game from this series is better?

Sometimes you can say a game like this has porn that makes it worthwhile, but that's not the case here. Eternal Dream is a third person action adventure RPG. "H-Scenes" play out upon death, in some scenarios, with the content being more on the extreme. The gameplay itself starts of pretty servicable. The combat makes sense, hit detection is fine, and so on. It's not until you get about an hour in that the massive cracks start to form. Grinding is one of the worst parts of this. You're forced to do it, either for money, exp to be able to hit things (Despite this being an action RPG), and to get new skills. Dungeons and bosses spam stun abilities, where 'get good' doesn't apply it's just 'get lucky or cheese the fight'. Finally the last dungeon the lights are turned off with no way to turn them on, which includes massive amounts of enemies packed together to ambush you, platforms you can't see to fall to your death and generally one of the worst experiences I've ever played. I only beat it because I modified my save file to give me max level and full stats. You wanna play this, I absolutely recomeend doing that, otherwise stay away from this product and find better H-Content somewhere else.

Seeing cute girls die in horrible ways is very pleasing to me! :3 However the gameplay f**king sucks and can also be a bit glitchy! D: I'd only recommend if you're a fan of "ryona" content (since thats exactly what this game is made for, to deny that is silly). But if you arent into that stuff and only care about gameplay, don't buy this.

This game is trying to be Diablo clone and ryona game at the same time and ends in both cases far from the best. It terms of h&s, I would say it is around Diablo 1, just replace spells with unlockable and not possible to level up skills. Game over scenes are good, but very limited in numbers (12 total, counting execution scenes in camps) while the single art in game is great, but again: it is one art for entire game. Yet Eternal Dread is surprisingly addictive and not that grindy unless you go for 100 level achievement - I beat final boss at level 69.

The game is pretty good for the price. Kept me entertained for a couple weeks. I played as a warrior only leveling STR, VIT, and DEX and was still able to utilize the mage aspect as if I was specced for it. If you want the game hard use Archery or Melee. If you want easy go for Mage. The game is more skill based than gear based. At level 40 you can take out level 80 monsters with little issue. I finished the game at level 60. As much as I'd like all achievements, I'm not going to grind up to 100. Each dungeon is different which is more than I can say for many games made by big companies. Battle mechanics are pretty normal, strafing keeps you alive in any battle. But considering the game was made by 5 people instead of 500 people I can't complain. The last dungeon was pretty interesting too. One thing that bugs me is the final quest can't be completed. When you finish the quest the game ends, and when it reloads you can't go turn it in. It's not a major thing but those like myself will grind their teeth at a uncompleted quest. Specially in a game with about 12 quests. Also all the status, inventory, shops, etc. pages have the buttons off center. To click anything your cursor needs to be about an inch to the left of what you wish to select. This game receives the Tap-Fap Stamp of Approval.

Been trying to play this game for 20 minutes, and I keep getting stuck in menus. Can't exit the menus in shops at the starting base at all. I talk to a merchant, click shop, buy an item, and sit there dumbly clicking the "x" button to close the menu, and the thing won't close. Seems to be completely unplayable. Even got stuck in a save menu: saved game, next time I saved I tried to overwrite, but it wouldn't let me close the save menu. The only work around was to pick a new save slot, but I can only do that 4 times. I want to play this game, but it seems broken. Maybe when I'm less frustrated I'll go out into the game world and see what I can do without ever touching a menu, but I can't imagine that experience will last long. P.S. - Finally figured out that the hit boxes for ALL menu options in the game are displaced about an inch to the left of the actual button. For all buttons. All menus. Now that I know this I was able to start playing the game, and find it to be quite enjoyable. I still think the fact that where I have to click for buttons being displaced from the button itself is a pretty big issue, so I still don't recommend this otherwise enjoyable game.

1. There is not enough instruction and not enough saving point 2. prices of getting better equipment and buying essential items is way too expensive which is difficult getting the money 3. No game controller support 4. Controls is extremely awkward for the buttons for magic/items is inconvenient when using movement buttons and using mouse at the same time. 5. You seriously have to grind a lot due to the game enemies have powerful magic that can kill almost instantly 6. Not enough defense equipment 7. Grinding takes forever 8. This is not adult game but a ryona game but not good one at all. 9. Developers stop responding 10. Most important problem is that when you pause, the enemies will still attack you. So no bathroom breaks So don't buy this game even if it on sale. :(

i've changed my rating since i rated this game not recommended, - the defense system sucks, the energy should reduce when we get attacked not everytime we use defense. - the combat system are actually fine (add more slot for skill pls? lol)- - the map is so huge and there's not many npc, so we have to walking around the map for finding the npc and wait the npc for respawning again. (not the dungeon). *it tooks like half an hour to kill 20 npcs, srsly tho* - add soundtrack please? the game will more enjoyable i don't know this feature have already in this game or not, but i didn't see any marked npc, or marked dungeon for completing the quest(navigation stuff u know) ,sometimes i just got confused- lol but overall, this game is not bad as you think. *i think?*

I would recommend this game only if you know where you are getting yourself into. This game is a very, VERY low budget game and for what it is and the price, I think it is fine. The RPG aspect of it is nice, and the vast open world even if it is mostly empty, and the game is really hard to boot. The ryona aspect of this game i.e the death scenes I think is a major highlight as these scenes are really rare in games nowadays, and I love to see them making a return even if it is a very niche fetish like ryona.
