It says 2 hours but I'm just inside it, I could get a refund, however I got it VERY cheap (-67% off).
I love these types of games, I was excited to try it and I saw a lot of bad reviews which put me off. Playing it. I can understand fully what they all said.
The tutorial for this game is just awful, the font, the wording (English at least), you're told something that should be basic, yet no other use cases, no how to expand, the game is pretty much "Dunno... work it out" it's a complicated game, I'm now 4.5 hours in and STILL confused. These games are my type of games, I'm a software developer, who has made games, I love complicated sandboxes with their own scripting languages, and this game COULD be a fantastic gem(I don't wanna hate on it) . I just wish the developers who are clearly very skilled with out a doubt. If they just made learning the game approachable. I know some stuck with it and finally worked it out, though WOW what a fight, 4 hours to get the basic that could have been done in 20 mins MAX tutorial.
I'm all up for sandboxes, I played the story mode as it suggested this to learn the game and had to restart 3 times (at multiple places) as it wasn't clear at all and felt like a bug, yet it turns out the instructions are so awful, unless you developed this game, or play tested it a tonne, it's not obvious.
This game has massive potential, yet the developer could upload a patch with some work to get this to be worth buying. While I won't refund as i got it in a sale, I would still say if this was free, I would avoid as the frustration wasn't worth it, unless you're willing to really fight the game.
2/10 I'm happy to correct this review, if the developer cares about people who bought it, and just fixes the tutorials and makes it obvious with multiple situations to test new game mechanics. They have an idea and it makes sense to them, but it doesn't translate for others who haven't worked on a game for 5-7 years.
