Mewnbase is a chill, relaxing survival game. Yes, there are threats. Yes, you can die. But overall, it's just about gathering resources and expanding your base as you survive for a set amount of time (about an in-game month), then building a rocket and leaving. There's no surprising plot twists, no secret agenda to uncover. Just a randomly generated map and cute graphics. It's a relaxing way to spend some time, easily worth the $10 price tag, but it's not the next Subnautica if that's what you're looking for.
