“Bottle Pilgrim” belongs to the walking simulators genre, telling a sorrowful story about the demon alcohol and family tragedy. As you walk the path across verdant mountain jungle, through caves and alongside the seacoast, you listen to the main protagonist’s narrative (read in pleasant male voice), collect hidden drawings and uncover a secret or two. As it’s become the norm with this franchise, gameplay is strictly linear and episodic, with several intermezzos of past reminiscences where you need to fulfil certain objectives to proceed. As usual graphics look very good, music is nice to listen to, and the game carries a contemplative atmosphere that will draw you in. And as usual, if you’ve liked other walking sims from this developer, be sure to add this one to your collection too.
