VR game reminiscent (pretty much a straight rip off) of "Theif: Dark Project". If you are susceptible to "VR nausea" go slow on this one, and you'll be okay. This so far sounds like a good review......BUT. There is about 2 hours of payable content in a game that came out in 2017.
3 plus years of content and it has less than an hour of content per year?! Give it a hard pass until they gain some momentum.

when I bought the game I didnot have high hopes, well I am glad I bought it .
I knew it is a stealth game but I imagined it to be cheap and easy but I was wrong , the game is great and really hard but extremely satisfying when ever you completer a mission because of how hard it is, NOW HERE ARE THE PROS AND CONS
PROS;
-immerseve experince
-really hard but satisfying game
-you dont feel overpowered because you r in vr( what I mean is that some games are mutch easier in vr because you are in there instead of playing with a mouse and keyboard)
-there controls are suitable for this kind of game
CONS
-the textures arenot that great (they are not bad but not great)
-there is only one mission and the toturial (witch feels like a mission if I am honest but they dont count it as one )as if 1-12-2017
-you may experince some buggs while playing (personly I only experinced one bug and no crashes)
FOR THE DEV :
I experinced a bug in the toutrial so the bug was that when I went through the tunnel and got to the part where I had to disrtact the guard to move around him, over there I tried to throw the wood to distract and mostly it didnot work and I had to let him kill me in order to get a second chance at the end it worked but after a really long time of trying and him not seeing it and I hit him with it some times with no reponse ( I honestly turned off the game at that part and came back later but got over it after a long time.
so please fix that as it was really frustrating over there

Played it for about an hour. Here are my thoughts:
- Poor performance. I have a 5950x CPU and 3080 10GB GPU (pretty powerful rig), and using an OG Vive (which is quite low resolution), I often get drops to 45 fps in certain areas (generally where there is complex lighting, to be fair). This is with SS set to 1, MSAA set to 0, and all other graphics settings at default. And it doesn't look good at 45 fps. With motion smoothing on, things shake around on screen, and with it off, it looks choppy.
- Very dumb AI, to the point where it's very immersion ruining, and not a lot of fun.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I do recommend this game but one should lower their expectations. A lot of people are mentioning Thief and VR and this is not it, the game is not close to that level of gameplay. However, it is so far the best stealth game in VR. Although, I can imagine something a lot better than this.
There's just an overall lack of production values and depth to the gameplay. I could never pick up anything off the ground except guards even though you can set your height. There was food on the table that I couldn't reach. You do have to crawl at certain points of the gameplay and to finish the tutorial. I had to try several times and reset my height and reset my view from Oculus until finally I was able to squeeze through and I literally had my head on the ground.
At the same thime, certain things do work well. You really do have to sneak past guards and be mindful of the sound you're making or the light which may increase your visibility to guards. You're given visuals cues on screen to tell you if you're too noisy or in too much light. There really are several ways to accomplish missions. However, I didn't notice any story. It seemed each level was just a challenge to beat. Gameplay is necessary slow due to the stealth mechanic. Luckily, you can save your progress for each level.
You are able to kill multiple guards but you won't survive many hits so it's probably best not to take on a group. Even when doing Assasin's Creed inspired stealth kills, you have to make sure your knife hits them in an unarmored spot. I was surprised by how accurate this mechanic was within the game. The bow & arrow felt really good and I liked how their were different arrow effects. However, unless you have perfect aim, you'll usually just alert the guards to your presence so they are usually not worth using to take down guards.
You can also climb up most walls. However, you can only climb up to a certain height. Your stamina does get drained if you stay on one spot too long. Funny enough, you only use one hand while climbing, in other words you can't hold yourself up with two hands. You can pick up anything and throw it as a distraction. Unfortunately, you're just usually doing all the above to grab a key from a guard to open a door.
Rate 7/10. I think this game could be much better, but for right now it's just a slow-paced stealth challenge game with some variety on beating those challenges. Good, but not great.

Using the Valve Index
As fun as the game is, for the first two missions, it's hard to play because the brightness setting doesn't work for me.
No matter how bright or dark I tune the brightness in game mission 3 is way too dark to see anything and I get lost and end up just walking into a wall for a minute or two without realizing. The only way I can navigate is to look at a light source and walk backwards to see if I'm still moving.

DO NOT BUY THIS! The developer has abandoned it, and is giving NO reason to his own paying customers. No updates, no nothing. It makes no sense to continue to support projects like this when a lazy worthless developer like him doesn't even have the human decency to give some kind of sign or notice to anyone what the current state is.
LOOK, just like you, I am SICK to my stomach of supporting these projects, only to watch them crash and burn with no notice or any message from the author.
If something happened and you can't continue the project anymore for whatever reasons, at least TELL PEOPLE SOMETHING!
We've watch this sort of thing happen over and over again with games like Gates of Nowhere and Primordian. Games that stay in Early Access or release with issues and not get fixed, for sometimes YEARS and NEVER get finished. We try to be supportive of small developers, and be understanding with them that they are doing the best they can, but they have a responsibility to address the public now and again with an update.
Personally, I think Steam needs to enact a new terms of service when it comes to Early Access, that any new game from now on that releases in Early Access can only do so for a fixed amount of time. Say 3-4 months maximum. If a developer doesn't have a certain amount of their game finished already, then it has no business releasing in EA.
And if the game never comes out of Early Access, then everyone who payed for it already should get a refund. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.
Gamers are getting tired of paying good money for unfinished products, and if these developers can't get that through their thick skulls, they shouldn't keep the world hanging on with something they never intend to put the proper effort forth to complete.
Personally I was going to wait until this was finished before I play through it, and it's a good thing I didn't waste time doing so. But just like those who already bought it, we never will see a fully fleshed out game.

For a fan of Thief-type games, this is absolutely a must try. I was concerned about the locomotion being arm-swinger and I've never enjoyed that in a game until now. They really nailed the ability to vary the movement speed to be exactly what you need at any time - you can VERY slowly crawl, you can walk, you can run, you can do anything in between that you need.
Lots of things are done right in the game - checkpoints, jumping, climbing, stealing, multiple paths through rooms, dragging guards, light and sound indicators, throwing items to distract guards, stabbing helmet-less guards, etc.
I just want more content but the building blocks are great! Looking forward to more levels as EA moves along.

Another game in Early Access limbo/hell. Released in 2017 and I last played almost 2 years ago when I bought it. I checked again today (Feb 2023) to see if anything changed, nothing. It's a shell of a game, there is insultingly little content for the asking price. The content that's there seems like a half baked idea. I got it on sale and I don't feel like it was worth it. It also takes just over 2 hours to complete the content if you take stealth seriously, which seem kinda sus to me.

I would love to recommend it, as it seems to be everything I could want out of a VR version of Thief: The Dark Project, which is one of my favorite games of all time... Unfortunately, despite being released 5 years ago, it only has about 3 hours of content, and it seems to be completely abandoned. It appears no one has heard from the dev in over a year. Worth trying out if you're curious, but I can't recommend paying for it in its current state, as it's more like a demo than a full game.

Update 2:
Now the major update #4 is here for some time and I checked back in. Now there is a menu in form of a book on the side of your belt. You can go through the pages with your hands and use the writing feather on top of the book to change settings. A welcome new addition indeed.
The guards are now have more viarity in their speech an overall it feels more alive. Minor bugfixes. Overall great improvements for the best stealthgame in vr you can get atm if you are a fan of the old Thief 1 + 2 games.
Update:
My long overdue update.
UK has to this day highly improved and its getting better and better with every update.
Gameplaymechanics are tweaked, free locomotion is added, AI behavior vastly improved, new missions. This game is the best "Thief Dark Project" like vr stealth game you can get. Nearly all my complains in my first impression are solved. Definitly worth your money.
Original Post:
First impression after finishing the beta
First of all this is by far the best stealth game I've played in VR but is it good? Well this is a mixed bag and this game still in beta things hopefully change to the better.
Controls:
The armswinging was very irritating at first as I personally played a very few games with this locomotion and not very long. I have to say after the tutorial this control method got very natural very quickly. Playing around I would say this is the best method to play a stealth game as you are able to move the exact speed you want. Using a touchpad free locomotion might work but I think more then often you would accidently go to fast and alert the guards.
Graphics:
Clearly there are some assets used in other games and that is totally fine. A small team just can't model and texture everything by themselfs without taking a huge chunk of time.
They look nice but nothing groundbreaking. The dungeons feel a bit empty, even with the barrels, tables and fireplaces. Some wall decoration like iron wall rings, a banner or flag or something like that. Everything looks realy similar. I think that is a thing that could improved on.
Also the hands look like robot hands from a standart 3d model.
Gameplay and enemy AI:
A good stealth game stands and falls with the stealth mechanics and how good the AI works. This...is also a mixed bag. Sometimes it feels great sneaking around guards sometimes its frustrating how the AI reacts.
Throwing items to distract enemies need some tweaking. I can throw a log or a sword 5 meters from the enemy and they don't even bother, the other time they go investigating. The alert radius is a bit small I think, as you can't get the guards going further away then a few meters.
Hiding behind cover in bright light seems also a bit buggy. One time they won't see you, the other time they spot you instantly.
Which brings me to the next point. Beeing spotted. We should be able to outrun the guards like in every other stealth game and not result in an instant failure. It should be a game over only if they are close enough to catch you.
Killing enemies is fun...but in an unintentional way. I can kill a guard 1 meter away from another guard and he doesn't even bother. If they react you can kill that one too and the other one and the next one. Don't know how to best solve this but it feels it needs some tweaking.
Climbing is another thing. Its a realy good feature but be able to climb nearly everywhere like you are spiderman? There should be specific surfaces you only can climb on, like vines or something. Some parts I could just get past by just lazy swinging around the walls. Or maybe add some stamina so you only can climb a specific amount of time.
Sound:
This is the biggest immersion killer for me atm. I hope this are only placeholders but using the online male "text to speech" voice is just bad. The guards sounds like robots with no emotion. I mean your voices can't be that bad? Just record your voices as there isn't much speech in the first place.
Thats for my impressions so far. I like this game a lot and even if the impression sounds a bit negative the posivites overweight and I'll keep this game waiting for updates hopefully improving an overall promising stealthgame.
Keep in mind this is early access and you can only play the tutorial and 1 mission at the moment. So you will be done in about 1 hour.
