I think that Second Wave isn't that bad of a DLC
Pros-
New Divisions
960 ROUND ARTY OP(Talking about you SAS)
Cons-
Victim of 960 ROUND ARTY
It may bring new Divisions but not much than that(In my opinion)
All in all, I think that Second Wave is a DLC thats not bad but not too good. Stuff that I didn't cover is probably covered in other reviews.(Maybe)
If u notice, I basically have the same concept of Review for some of my reviews.

I'm am a big fan of Steel Division, and I was foolish enough to order this without reading any user feedback on the Second Wave DLC.
It was a shock to see that Paradox/Eugen locks out the modding of DLC divisions!
Now that I'm finally clear on Paradox/Eugen's stance on modding DLC divisions, I will no longer be purchasing any more divisions.
Paradox/Eugen were not transparent on their DLC policies, and did not inform anyone at the time of launch. This was only made clear by Eugen staff comments buried in their support forum.
Edit: 12-18-2017: Eugen has turned around on this policy, and will not be allowing the modding of DLC by owners in the new update this month.

Great DLC
1. The price
2. The Units
3. The balance is there
4. Free Update that came at same time
5. Did i meantion the cheap price tag ....
This game's community is starting to dwindle and tbh this is such a fun game & very detailed ... remember at the end of the day this is a "GAME" but it still offers WW2 Fanatics like myself a chance to step into battle and shape the outcome in which ever way suits you . This DLC adds some flavor to the units 2 for the ALLIES & 2 for the AXIS ... Hopefully more is to come . People if you want this game to keep going forward like i do then get this fair priced DLC & lets help this game stay in the works & let some real progress begin ...

The Second wave mixes up the gameplay quite a lot,
all divisions are unique and bring their own distinctive units and income curves with them.
For example Sniper infantry squads, Panzer 1 and Panzer II Luchs, the B-26 Marauders gunship, a Rocketship Off Map artillery (fires for 6 mins but just can be called ones) and the legendary M18 Hellcat.
2 $ per division is a fair price for me and it is a lot of fun to play them, with 22 divisions now Steel division has enough variety for everyone and can offer a lot of different playstyles.

The Second Wave DLC adds a bunch of weird vehicles that i never expected to see. An FT-17 ? Are you serious ? You can get a Panzer 1 or a Luchs too. The German divisions just have some really weird stuff. Which is incredibly cool. You get 4 new divisions with some really weird vehicles. But i believe the new divisions and new units is the only thing the DLC adds aside from a new Ace. No new missions but whatever more divisions, more units thats good enough for me !
+New units.
+New divisions.
More content for a game that i already really enjoy. I remember buying the main game along with 2 DLC's in a bundle i recommend you do the same.

So a new dlc...
Few of these are units intresting.
The hellcat is an 100 point tank destroyer. It´s a glass cannon, but considering it´s just 100 points and available at phase A for 4th armored i think it´s pretty good
4th armored also gets command tanks with 76 mm guns, so those are very versatile (although expensive, so protect them with standard m4a1s)
The morris lrc op for the 1st ssb is just stupid. Being able to lock down a city completely for few minutes doesn´t really make sense for me, but whatever, maybe they need it with the phase B lowering to 80 points from phase A:s 100 points
Overall i would say that the 1st SSB is a very unique, so you should get this dlc for that, but im bit disappointed by the german battlegroups, as even though they add plenty of new units they don´t do anything too differently compared to other battlegroups...
Add 83rd infantry division next dlc

This is a very decent DLC for its price. Four new decks have a very distintic feel to them, the Brits have even got their own voicing, which is pretty cool (can't say about ze Germans, they all sound the same to me). Also the new game mode is kind of fun.
Of course there are some long standing issues with the game itself that have to be resolved ASAP and no amount of DLCs can help with that, but nonetheless it's a good purchase.

Not worth it. It only really makes sense if you want to play multiplayer. However, nobody is on those servers. For the solo campaign it makes no difference. I feel I wasted my money. The base game is pretty good though.

I became heavilly enamoured with Steel Division upon release, but I grew sad to see player numbers quickly dwindle, and the singleplayer AI failed to stimulate in the same way that playing against humans did. A few updates that had a little too little in terms of content and balance made me worry that Steel Division would quickly fade away into obscurity as a dead game.
Steel Division Second Wave is the oh-so-needed DLC that revitalized its parent. It brings four new division, two for allies and two for axis, that are balanced, unique, and fun. Each division brings something totally new and bonkers to the table, be it the Commando Brigade's off map rocket artillery that can deny huge areas of the map for minutes. Be it Georgie's Boys' CAS maurader that has no bombs, but enough machine guns and tankability to make infantry fear for their lives in phase A. Be it 16. luftlande's huge arsenal of comically slow French tanks. Be it Schnelle Division's comically large amount of flame weapons that they have access to as early as Phase A. Each division still remains in the perfect spot between over-powered and under-powered, with each possessing significant strengths and weaknesses. The income given to each division is also very delliberate and further differentiates them from the 18 divisions already present in the game, such as the Commando Brigade's incredible phase A and C but dismal phase B in which only a small amount of unit cards even exist for the division, effectively making one plan for both phase A and B with just phase A cards.
Of other note, since I played last, the AI has been given a major update. They now use planes in a realistic manner comparable to a human player, and they make a much more engaging opponent in genera. This DLC makes me have high hopes about Steel Divison's longevity and the developer's awareness of what makes their game good, and what it could stand to get rid of.
