Compared to the other microtransactions in the game, this is probably the best use of your money, especially when you are getting started.
The important thing is that is gives you 500 VIP points - instant VIP level 3. This unlocks the very convenient Warp 10 feature, increases your crew limit, and a few other small things. It gives you 700 dilithium, but also 10x10 premium packs (this would cost 6,500 dilithium). This will give you at least 10 good crew members (every 10-pack set contains at least one 4 or 5 star crew).
When you buy this, you might need to start, close, and restart the game once or twice for it to show up. You won't get any notification in-game, you'll just notice the VIP level and the dilithium. When I first opened it, I had the dilithium and packs, but I had to close and reopen again for the VIP.

Fantastic value offer BUT....make sure you FIRST log into your active game account before purchasing it as it will go to the first account that is active when you log into to STT and if that is NOT your main account it will end up on the wrong account. Don't worry too much if you did do this, contact the CS in the game and if you have the details of the purchase and the account it was accidentally send to they will correct it for you.

Really good value, especially for new player - you'll got many rare crew members, quite few super rares, even maybe 2-3 legendary ones and a number of schematics to unlock better (3-5 star) ships. All this will give you good start.

This is an excellent value for anyone playing Star Trek: Timelines. It puts you at VIP 3 with the warp 10 ability, gives you extra crew slots, gives you the energy credits to buy crew slots, gives you a decent amount of the ingame currency and gives you additional crew to get through the various missions.

got a ton of rares, a fair number of super rares, even an occasional legendary crew member. meanwhile i picked up a good number of schematics from the crates and unlocked a number of ships, mainly the intrepid class 3 star ship but a few 5 star ships were also unlocked the same with other 3 star ships.
compared to the other pack on display i think this starter gear is of more value in the long run for a newer player. is it worth the value? from a gaming point of view it most certainly is. And after putting in a number of days on this game which has been pretty positive, the developers deserve to be rewarded for that work.
