The DLC gives me a CTD within the initial mission under Win10 every single time. (while the main program works for me with some hiccups)

I see it as kind of a bridge between SG1 and SG2 but, I think "too little, too late" is applicable here. The reason for getting this DLC would be to get access to three dreadnaught-class ships for the price of 1,300,000 credits each, all are fast, manueverable, and all (barring one secondary slot on the smallest ship) are tech V. "Too late" stems from the fact that after completing these five missions (which doesn't take more than 15-30 minutes) the game is effectively completed and the objective is set to "freeroam." So, you got an epic ship...with no reason to keep playing the game. This DLC should have been plugged in between Chapter 5 and 6 in order to give you a leg up throughout Chapter 6 but it wasn't meant to be.
On top of that, I never played the game without this DLC so after the boss man tells you to go back to Junction and destroy the gate, this objective to go to Observatory pops. This whole time I'm thinking I need to blow up that gate but because Observatory is the only mission, I did it anyway. I got the fancy dancy ship, head back to Junction, and I can't interact with that Sector Zero gate. At this point I realize the campaign is over and what I just saw was this DLC. Needless to say, the transition wasn't well done.
So the DLC itself is fine but its implementation into the campaign is not. For that reason, I can't recommend it. Had it contributed to the core game (read: campaign), I would recommend it.
