Edit #2: I heard they are 320kbps now, so it's all good I think.
Edit: Just buy the Bandcamp version. It's lossless and at the same price tag. And over there you actually know what you're paying for.
The Steam OST has been updated and I don't know whether it's still low quality.
STAY AWAY! I never pirate music and I'm against it, but this is the case where you should, despite the music being amazing etc. These are 192Kbps MP3s in {{current year}}. Any real soundtrack released this day has AT LEAST v0/320Kbps mp3 and it's still dogshit if it doesn't feature flacs as well. I can live without flacs, but it's one hundred freaking ninety-two mp3 in full words. This is a disgrace to any legitimate purchaser who loves the game.
The list in the description is wrong. It lists 18 tracks, says it's 16, in reality it's 15: the main menu theme, all the biome themes except for the Sepulchre, merchant's and "Prison's hub". There's an another review from 2 weeks ago which addresses that, but the issue still hasn't been resolved.
"As we add levels to the game and therefore new tracks, we'll add them here for free!". It's outdated as hell. The Hello Darkness patch which introduced the Sepulchre track has been out for 38 days as of writing, but, again, it's still missing in this joke of an OST. It doesn't help that it's my favourite track. It doesn't help that the bandcamp OST is up to date.
They are charging money for this.

The Soundtrack is Phenomenal! But i must ask... Are there plans to add the newer tracks released with Breaking the Bank update and, possibly Return to Castlevania (once it launches)?
Because let me tell you, this OST is second to None and so catchy! I can only imagine how the RTC renditions will sound like.

I find the soundtrack to be very soothing and relaxing. Especially the track for Promenade of the Condemned. Good listening all around.

I love the game, but not a fan of the clock system. Awesome, but doesn't let me enjoy the music as much. Plus, I really want to support these developers. Keep pushing content, and I love them for it.

You dare to hide the bundle that includes this in it exclusively on the store page of this and not the main game so I waste five dollars?!
The soundtrack has been fixed!
And its all in glorious 192kHz 24bit FLAC! Time to enjoy this awesome soundtrack again, thanks devs!
[strike]Some of the FLAC format songs seem to have gone missing after an update, what happened there?
edit:
HOW TO GET FULL SOUNDTRACK BACK IN FLAC FORMAT
After sniffing around a bit on steamdb, it turns out they replaced the entire FLAC soundtrack with higher quality versions, but some of the songs were missing from this new high quality collection. All the songs that are there are higher quality than before, but the rest is gone.
I recommend manually downloading the old depot through console or the depotdownloader, and copying in the new files (the higher quality ones that steam provides) to overwrite the lower quality FLACs of the old depot. This way you get the entire soundtrack, and upgraded versions of those that have higher quality versions, plus the new DLC songs.
Would very much like an official fix, but this works for now.
I will update the review once this has been fixed.
edit 2: It turns out the new songs are bugged, at least for me, skipping part way through the song. I recommenced just using the old depot, and adding the new DLC songs to it. Not like you're really going to hear the difference between 24Bit 48000Hz and 24Bit 198000Hz anyway without an audiophile setup ;)

You released a free-2-play DLC?
Ok, I will buy these soundtracks not only because they are awesome, but to support this.
I mean, a free DLC, you can't do that in 2k19...

Ok, so let me get this straight. Just past the "all jokes aside...", this OST DLC claims to have 16 tracks. Just below that lists a total of 18 tracks. After downloading, I have 15 tracks. WAT. Ok, all logic aside, this OST is fantastic. The music fits perfectly with the feel of the combat, artisic styling, and the groovy guitar is the perfect seasoning to top it all off. I've wanted OST DLC since my first moments of playing the game, and its here. Thank you for taking this oppertuninty to take my money Motion Twin! It is quite happily given.
EDIT: Guess what everyone! The music for "The Forgotton Sepulchre" has been added under the name "The Crypt". This also means that are 16 tracks to go along with the claimed 16 tracks. It still lists 18 though.
Also, pretty sure I hear purring in "Cemetery", needs confirmation.
Edit 2: The OST's update has replaced the old 192kbps mp3's with 320kpbs mp3's along with the amazing tracks from the brutal update!
