It does not work, what a waste of money. The image files it creates to make the custom windows don't even show up half of the stuff like the border decorations of backgrounds. avoid this like the plague.

This is a really good tool. One can do this manually create windows or download other peoples windows, BUT this add-on makes it easy and you can really experiment with great ease. The only little issue is that it does not automatically change your "Choices" window, but this is easilly fixed by copying your Window-Talk.png over your Window.png.

Worked well, did take me a minute to figure out how to install. Also doesn't change all the Windows, For the show choices I had to manually go in and replace the PNG. I bought this on sale, and it's a no brainer for the $2 it cost me. Sure you can do the same w/o a tool, but this made the job super fast and easy. If you just want something "non-RTP" looking then this hits the spot easily and quickly. Well worth the buy.

Something about this addon doesn't seem right, of course you can do this by yourself by looking on YouTube or you can of course get free ones from other sites by people that use the engine. Don't get me wrong it's something if you aren't a person that can make your own window but as I stated you can easily just find some amazing stuff elsewhere on fourms and such. I tried this but it's not even showing in my game, for some reason it's just showing my default window and not the custom one I made in this tool. I did however request a refund with this and make my own at some point.

Does not work as of writing this, from searching forums I've found the steam version of this add-on/dlc has not worked for almost a year due to a windows update. I've tried about 20-30 different suggestions to no avail. If you really want this you're better getting a non DRM version, I don't think microsoft, Steam or KADOKAWA care much for this issue so I'm requesting a refund on the bundle I purchased.

If it still worked, I'd recommend it.
Was a quick, easy way to customize game windows before it broke.
Now the Save button does nothing. Have tried a few possible fixes found on forums to no avail.

[h1]THIS NO LONGER WORKS ON WINDOWS![/h1]
Installing the plugin is easy, open the RPG Maker Tools from the Tools menu, then click the Select Path button and look for the tools folder under RPG Maker MV. Select that and any of the three tools you have as DLC will show up in the list.
The problem is that once you open MADO (and possibly SAKAN as well) and then click on Open MV Project, [b]NOTHING HAPPENS[/b]. No error, no dialog, no nothing. So you can't actually use this. I suspect this might be an issue with the build of Windows 10 Pro that I'm using - 19041 - having broken compatibility with Qt5 5.4.2, which is what MADO is using.
If you have an earlier version of Windows 10, you might be in luck until you're forced to update. Otherwise, steer clear.

It's a fun and easy program. If you have the cash laying around and don't know what to do with it.. For those with small knowledge about programming and using 3d party programs this is one of the tools you wanna buy.
- For those with knowledge about photo editing and java.. they will never buy it :) Or maybe just for fun.
- For those people who would like to try it. i've bought it and i think its an easy add-on to the stuff i've already had.. :)

For thows with problems in showing it in your game...... Add "AltWindowFrames" to your plugg-in's ingame. Thows who complaine about not proper functioning .. I guess you guy's forgot how to use it propperly.

I read the negative review on this product, and the same thing happened to me - but I fixed it. You see, when you save your custom frame template, it is saved as a PLUGIN that you have to add to your game. Just letting you all know!
As for the product, it's great! It adds great customizability to the game, and details like this add a ton to a game's atmosphere. It lets you add a custom text box background, frame, and corner details. There are a ton of different ones to choose from, and they are all interchangeable. It also lets you customize a /separate/ frame for dialogue, battle, menu, and intro screen box! I like that a lot.

As somebody completely new to RPGMaker MV. This tool made customizing the frames so easy!
If you run into issues getting it to work simply:
1. Don't forget to follow the "Installing MADO" section of the store page.
2. Enable the following three plugins in your project:
-AltWindowFrame
-AltMenuScreen
-AltSaveScreen
