Absolutely beautiful game that touched my heart (and made me cry). I cannot recommend this enough for people who like short games with a meaningful message.

I ultimately cannot recommend this game, not because the graphics are ugly (they're not, in fact the graphic design/background work is fantastic and colourful), or the gameplay is awful (in fact it may be basic, but it is quite enjoyable) or the puzzles are wretched, galaxy-brain affairs (almost every puzzle is intuitive and can be solved with logic and the information/clues provided), but because the sound design/"voice" acting is the absolutely most shrill, finger-nails-on-chalkboard aural torture I have ever encountered in a game. Imagine nonsense sounds/noises for every character....not really unusual in games like this, right? I mean, it saves on localization for voice actors! Now reverse track them so they all go backwards......now it's a little annoying/grating, but whatever, it gives it a certain je ne sais quois.........now make them all high-pitched shrieking nonsense noises or a yelling voice (I mean, REALLY YELLING!!!!!) or some combination of the two (shrill AND blasting in your ear) and you've captured almost 9/10s of the voice work in the game (the remainder is low pitched, slow talking for the trees and such....and that's just fine, no complaints). This is (obviously) a YMMV, highly subjective complaint, but jumping jesus on a cracker I cannot enjoy myself when virtually every dialogue scene either involves a gratingly shrill, loud a.f. voice, or a mid-range voice SCREAMING at me. It's hard to have fun when you're strongly tempted to just turn off the audio and play the game soundless (but one of the puzzles does have an audio component.....you could probably do it just by looking at the vibration patterns, but the sound helps) or just turn off the voices, but what kind of recommendation is that? "Yeah, I loved the game....I just couldn't stand to play it with sound on because the "voice work" made me want to drink bleach to escape the torment." So, this would be a tolerable (kinda mid, but ultimately fun) game, but I hated playing it because of the intolerable audio issues. Oh, and the characters, while well drawn, are almost universally annoying. And the plot is ill-explained and ultimately very unsatisfying. Other than those minor complaints, it's an okay game ;-) So, not recommended unless you want to play with the sound off and you don't mind incredibly annoying characters that do nothing but irritate you.
