This game is fun for laughs, even though some of the mini games feel almost broken. It makes up for that with charm, a cute art style, and the creativity of the people who made it.

What I really like about this game is that its focus isn't only on your romantic relation with one of the love interests, but also on your relation with your daughter and how you help her through her struggles (or not, depending on your choices). I would have loved more serious choices for our character's personnalisation, but the game in itself has good graphisms, the stories juggles between funny and serious conversations, and there is pop culture references not so hidden during the game. Not necessarily my favorite, but still a pretty decent game.

I had a good time with this. Honestly, if you're in it for the "dating sim" aspect, it's charming but pretty juvenile, and about as deep as a puddle. What I do really love about it, however, is the friendship building and relationship with your character's daughter, Amanda, who really shines throughout the narrative of the visual novel. I've rarely been connected to characters that are supposed to be your children in games, but she's just so darn likable and the relationship she has with your dadsona is very sweet and well written. It's silly, it's cute, it's fun. Nothing particularly deep or mind-blowing here, but it's a positive experience in my book.

A nice and chill VN game where you're dating (or hanging out with) other dads, that is actually pretty humorous.

if you want some well written dad romance, this is not for you. all the routes are too short to get into anything beyond surface level characteristics. you've got three dates with each dude to figure out everything about them and that's it. if you're in it for a laugh, fucking buy this game, 10/10 dialog writing, it's hilarious, and the main character is the best character, game had me wheezing multiple times. if you wanna feel like a dad not only will this hit all your dad switches but also, if you play your cards right, your daughter will say aloud, 'I love you too, dad' and you will sit in stunned silence for several seconds as you seriously contemplate adopting children.

Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator is a game I really wanted to enjoy, and in some ways, I did. The art style is vibrant and appealing, and the tone is lighthearted and humorous. It’s clear that the developers put effort and love into the project, and I respect that. However, despite its charm and humor, the game was disappointing to me due to a lack of emotional depth, unappealing character options, and endings that felt vague or incomplete. The game offers seven romanceable characters, but I found most of them either unlikable or uninteresting. Joseph and Robert were specifically disappointing for me. Joseph, a youth minister who is married throughout the game, ends up being a character you can’t truly date. Your only choices with him are to have an affair that ends with him going back to his wife, either because he "loves her" or because he wants to preserve their family’s image. In the latter case, he even offers to continue sleeping with you while remaining married. It made no sense to me to be led down a romantic route with no genuine or respectful resolution. Robert, on the other hand, comes across as emotionally unavailable and closed off. While his endings offer some variation, they still fall flat. If you sleep with him on the first night, you're locked into his bad ending permanently, which feels unfair and limiting. Even his “good” ending simply results in him friend-zoning you because he wants to "work on himself", which is a sentiment I can appreciate in theory, but again, it raises the question of why he’s even presented as a viable romantic option if no fulfilling relationship is ever possible with him. Other characters didn’t feel much better. Brian is presented as a “friendly rival,” but his constant bragging and need to one-up the player was obnoxious. Hugo didn’t resonate with me at all. That left me with Damien, Mat, and Craig, the three dads I found most tolerable, though even they weren’t particularly compelling either. I ended up completing Damien’s route, which offered a sweet conclusion. In his ending, he expresses gratitude for the confidence your character gives him and shares a heartfelt moment, ending with a kiss. While it was cute, it still felt incomplete. There was no clear confirmation that the relationship was truly solidified or what the future held. Unfortunately, this is what all the "good" endings consist of in the game: they end with a kiss or tender moment but no substantial resolution. The same issue applies to the bad endings as well. They mostly consist of the dad simply friend-zoning you. There’s little emotional weight or creativity to these outcomes. It makes the game feel shallow, especially for a genre that thrives on emotional investment and branching story lines. In the end, I wouldn’t say Dream Daddy deserves a truly “negative” review. The visuals are lovely, the writing has moments of charm, and I can see the effort behind it. But as someone looking for meaningful storylines, emotionally satisfying routes, and fulfilling relationships, I walked away feeling let down. If you're curious about the game, I would recommend watching a playthrough online instead of playing it yourself. There are good aspects to appreciate from a distance, but as a dating simulator, Dream Daddy struggles to deliver the kind of experience the genre is known for.
