Never played it growing up, but it's cute. It's a game by CapCom. That should be all I have to say about it. If you like goofy CapCom games, you'll like this.

Simply put -- just as good as I remember.
Although it's a leap-and-bound 3rd-person shooter at its core, featuring giant monster battles and large bipedal mech fights in-between; LP:EC truly represents the idea that "less is more" when it comes to game design, when its being done right. You're essentially given 6 weapon categories, with their own mech equivalents and told to assault your way forwards through the Story -- and yet, somehow it still manages to be a great game, captivating a great story that's worth playing through at least once, if not a couple of more times.
