Early access has not been inactively updated for 2 years, but recently it did, adding 4th region (out of planned 5).
Combat core is mechanically excellent with no close analogs, and is main draw for me. Unlike many games where damage avoidance is mostly binary - either you dodge/block within warning time window or get hit, here precise positioning/timing/inertia all really matter.
Exploration layer is ok - it has a bit depth, but I optimized my approach to it fairly quickly.
Lore/atmosphere is original and consistent, though of course medieval melee space knights can only make so much sense.
Balancing and run variety could be improved - both Paladin and Manticore are good and different enough, but in terms of actual weapon/gadget/skill choices there are some clear best options. Game does get a lot easier as you get permanent roguelike unlocks and just get better at combat, even if you add negative run modifiers on top. Sadly, runs get stale rather soon.
