A campy action story that didn't skimp on gore.
The controls take a little practice but feel smooth and intuitive from the start.
Better under-water scenery than most games involving water.
Can feel a little grindy at times but overall Satisfying.

Plays great on steam deck. A fun and action packed game that doesn't take itself too seriously without sacrificing on solid gameplay.
Taking inspiration from older games like "fish" or "feeding frezy" but with its own unique spin and in 3d, the goal here is to grow your shark by eating smaller fish only this time there's an emphasis on combat which makes for a much more exciting gameplay style than it's spiritual predecessors.
Not quite a silly as Goat Simulator and definitely not as low effort, the game keeps progression interesting with a colourful narator and a unique framing device as well as diverse and interesting level choices with unique landmarks scattered about to help the player navigate as well as provide some insight into the surface world and its inhabitants who you'll otherwise mostly see when they're riding in boats or are foolish enough to venture near the water's edge close enough for the shark to jump out and drag them into the water.
In case you missed it in tbe trailers, yes you can eat them too but causing too much havock to the humans will cause them to send out teams to hunt down the shark and put and end to your mayhem.
Combat is fairly simple but not too easy since you're having to move in all 3d directions and stay moving if you want to avoid taking damage from enemies who can deal a lot of damage like alligators.
Overall I was surprised by the high level of polish and how a few fairly simple mechanics come together to make a very unique game that's easy for anyone to pick up and play. This game has loads of character and the voice over performance is a lot of fun.
Not quite a AAA title that will entertain you all year long but a great addition to any collection and well worth a look if you want to try something new!

Looks and plays good for its age and is a good game all around in my opinion. The tongue in cheek comedy of the narrator as you play and especially in the dlc is funny and the different mutations allow for different playstyles though i do wish there were more. I hope Tripwire will consider making more games like this where you play as a different creature which would be interesting.

I can't recommend this game in the slightest. As fun as it is with the gameplay, the performance is a complete other story like a complete 180 from how this game is. It's a fun game don't get me wrong, I really want to enjoy it, but about every 5 minutes to 1 hour the game just decides to crash. I'm running a 13900K with a 4060 Ti well way beyond what this game needs in the recommendation scale but the game itself is so unstable. I stay stuttering with FPS dropping to 0 and lagging complete making it unplayable, having to press escape so it my processor can fix itself for this game and then be able to play it again until it happens once again not even 2 minutes after.
There has been numerous reports about these issues, multiple "fixes," none of that works completely. The developers seem unaware or just don't want to deal with it so they excuse it with an "I don't know."
Everytime I go check my task manager, I see my processor spiking up to 100% when these stutters and lag moments happens.
On the case of crashes, I have no clue anymore I have tried multiple different fixes, advanced solutions, none actually work. Even updating my drivers and Windows, NOTHING.
I'd recommend this game only if the developers fix the performance situation along with the crashes, other than that I'll keep this as a no. I'm still going to try finishing this game regardless.

Can be fun.
Sometimes, for several short sessions. It gets pretty repetetive pretty quick since everything you do is "Hunt 10 Fishies X", "Collect some collectibles", "Hunt 10 Fishies Y", "Make some stunts above water","Hunt 10 humans", "Hunt the other shark" and after some of these quests you "Look for your rival", where you can sneek a peek into the life of the biggest shark hunter of the region.
This is the story, although I have to say, that I quite like the idea of that. The story is like a documentary film, where you see some interviews with the regional shark hunter which tells about his personal life and goals. After that you switch back to yourself (the shark, obviously) and proceed to kill stuff.
Seriously, I like that. Buuuut, yeah. Everytime after half an hour I just wanna end the session and play other games.

Buy on sale, but extremely fun. Only 15 hours or so of gameplay. If the person you're buying it for is a younger person - e.g. 7-11, they'll get a LOT more hours out of it most likely. Just recommend you to use enhanced sonar while you're exploring each region and spam the fk, out of it off cooldown to make sure you don't miss any Points of Interest.
