the ui for this game is so all over the place it makes it unbearable and unplayable... not to mention noone joins games... i tried to play one night werewolf which i really really wanted to play but the controls are dogshl.t, the way they executed this is even worse, and there is no clear way to change the roles cap from 4... i always play this with family where we have 2 wolves 2 villiagers, 1 seer, 1 troublemaker, 1 robber, and sometimes other roles like the insomniac but the way they designed this horrible program its a nightmare to try figuring it out... and they ask about $40 plus for this... disgraceful avoid this program like the plague

Not automated, no How To Play specifically for TTS leaving our entire group confused as to how to actually play, and causing us to have to restart the game multiple times because people would miss their turns, not know how to interact when looking for each other, etc. Eventually gave up after trying to play for over an hour and requested a refund. It is downright insulting that the devs would charge money for this barely functional DLC.

The multiple role bug still exists, weeks later. Workaround was to create a hidden zone, flip the card, then put the card to the side. However, there's no snapping included. With the names and markings on the board, and the lack of 90 degree rotation, it's easy to identify whether your card was moved. If there were an artificial way of "disturbing" card positions or snapping to an orientation. You could include auto-blindfold as an option/setting, especially if it was already designed. I can easily close and cover my eyes for the physical game. Having both a blindfold button and a Open/Close Eyes button is confusing. especially in the form of text and not a button asset. Having no control over the narration volume is also an issue. One of our group could not hear it at all. Yes there are opinions about how automated this should be. If you're charging a third of the price of the physical copy (keeping in mind most of us own the physical game anyway), there isn't as much lift since the assets and directions already exist. What people expect is to enhance the experience for new and casual players who don't necessarily play the game as much. We strongly prefer the physical versions and will continue to play them. If anything, these virtual versions are an easy intro to new people who never would've played before. The point being, more automation should be done or at least the option for the automation should be given at this price point. That being said, as a software engineer, the parts that work are good and it is aesthetically nice. The content just needs a bit more polish.

Workshop versions offers more content and automated than this one and all for free. Hopefully DLC gets updated with more automatic system and more content. As with current content and with such price, i do not recommend.

Everything is manual. DLC does not offer any improvement in gameplay. Not worthy to buy it :(

edit: Game broke. Scripting errors after recent updates. rip edit edit: Works sometimes actually. I am actually very glad that this was picked up officially by TTS devs because the workshop versions were extremely lacking. I have played One Night and many of its expansion packs irl so it is great that I can finally play it on TTS without the crazy jankiness of the old workshop versions and with an automated narrator.
Pros:

The basic gameplay scripted very well (no errors so far) including autodealing, basic role detection, and automatic narrator audio playback
It has a nice cozy room and background
It comes with the daybreak expansion
Auto blindfolds everyone when night starts and unblindfolds when night ends
Night phase waits for player to put blindfold back on during their turn to continue
You can choose to mute the narrator
There is an easy first time setup mode that auto selects default cards
Voting tokens are cool and have high visibility once placed on the table
Announces if someone tries to unblindfold out of turn and auto blindfolds them

Cons:

You cannot adjust the narrator volume (though it is generally loud enough)
Card selection uses one click cycling for selecting multiple of the same card
Must reselect card selection for every round
You must unblindfold and reblindfold when it is your turn at night
Voting process is clunky with my biggest gripe: No manual end round button
Card switching can be awkward for people on the sides of the table
No background music (but you can load up your own music on the TTS built-in interface)
[strike]Possibly game breaking - Once night is over, you can see who unblindfolded in what order - TEMP FIX: you could prevent this by making everyone click the "Global" chat to hide the game chat and have everyone look at their cards before the round begins manually with alt-shift peek (b/c script tells you in the 'game chat' what role card you have)[/strike]
Overall, this is a good dlc that stays mostly true to the original physical version and plays just as well. It is much cheaper than buying two of the One Night physical copies so I would definitely recommend this as One Night is on my top 5 tabletop games to play. With this, I hope devs also release a clean version of Werewords in the near future (my #1 tabletop game atm). edit: couple more, big two, wording, formatting edit2: confirmed devs comment that unblindfold messages in chat are not accurate so no one will know who unblindfolded during the night
