What's going on with the Sequence of Play and the hero cards? They seems like the images got stretched or applied incorrectly and all the text is less readable.

Lords of the Eastern Reach is fast becoming one of my favorite board games. It's a hand-managment city development game with dungeon delving and direct player conflict. There's a fairly high degree of randomness, but if you like the Pillars universe and enjoy card games its worth a try. Solo play is included.

Text is very jaggy and i can barely read some cards. Otherwise i like the game a lot and the look is great i just wish they'd update the text to look better. Im running Ultra setting and it looks alot worse than some games on the workshop

Really wanted to like it, but a number of cards are stretched or squished rather than being applied to the cards correctly, No one plays it online. and the game over all it just average.

Tried this with a bud tonight. We play a lot of board games and noticed we were constantly referring back to the rules to try to understand cards. This goes back to MTG when abilities were printed on cards without any explanation to what they did or any icons to help assist their mechanics. Further found some of the rules simply need to be refined. We ultimately found ourself on an "I don't know" lost path twice and decided to call it.

The game itself is very luck based, card draws, dungeon draws, resource draws and dice rolls. There are a few instances where rules are not printed on building cards (The Inn and the Stronghold allowing you to get hirelings) but instead in the rule book, and also some instances where the rules on cards or in the rule book are not clear enough and can be misinterpreted. With two players, it is very slippery-slope, you can easily fall behind early and really struggle to make it back. With four players this is less of a problem, but bad luck can still leave you struggling to get anywhere. As for the game implementation, the first attempt I had with two players, the dungeon decks were broken - putting the bosses very near the top of the decks. A number of elements to the game are graphically distorted due to being the wrong size. The table could do with being a bit larger to allow space for all the cards. The automation is fairly light, it could be improved by automating resource draws and providing outline areas which would organise your buildings, troops and treasure.

This game is decently fun. I would say it has somewhat of a MTG/ engine builder feel (kind of terraforming mars like). Build an army up at the same time as you build up your city. Take your army in the wilderness or into the dungeon. You can even attack another player's city (and they can defend). The major issues people have of it being a luck based game is fine since I knew that going in. Its all about making the most of the hand you are dealt. Yeah, its possible to get resources that dont help you and yeah, you could draw cards that dont see play that game but knowing how to use the game's mechanics to work around those issues is key to winning. If I had to make any critiques, I would say that I would have liked a Lord Draft option to the scripting similarly to how it is done for single player rather than being forced into a random pull. Also, a built in option to use both Adventure decks would have been nice. Right now, using both adventure decks at the same time looks a bit tacky since everything is so well modeled. The table is excellent looking as is the modeled background. It was missing the beautiful Pillar of Eternity OST in the back so I made a separate save and added it myself. (highly reccomended). Definitely going to pick the physical game up after playing it on here. It's a light enough game and looks easy to set up. 8/10
