Rating - 8/10 Pros - You get a nice variety of tracks (Somewhere around 20-25 different ones). - 8 characters with 4 different cars to pick from. -Music ain't too shabby. - Speed Boosts exist. Cons - If you're behind on the track, you should probably get used to staying there. It's HARD catching up to the other drivers in time before the 3 laps end. - All the tracks are kinda short. You can however offset that with more laps cuz I usually just stick to 3. Each lap is about a minute long I'd say. - This isn't a big deal really, but there's no horn honking. I wish I could honk the horn to my friends after I pass them or clip them for lol's. I mean, is it really that much effort assigning a *beep* sound to the select button? Overall I haven't explored every part of this game yet, but for a while I was looking for something that me and my buddy could play together. Our game tastes are usually pretty different but I saw him streaming this one which looked interesting. I bought it on discount, and now a few of us are playing all together. It's fun crashing into each other.

Is there such a thing as the ideal Arcade racer that is both a fun pickup and play with family, and a corner mastering art that will have you measuring victories by milliseconds? Yes, it's this game. The art style and general gameplay is a flawless execution on what it means to move from a 1990s arcade machine to a modern computer ready to be played with a keyboard, or a regular gamepad controller. The mechanics of this game push you to your limit to maintain speed, while also drifting around corners at ungodly speeds and blasting off when possible. Drafting is also a mechanic that rewards the player with boost, meaning the best players will nearly copy the opponent in front of them in order to charge up boost and breath down their neck at the same time. While furiously blasting past them, only to find that it is hard leading the pack. Constantly eyeing other racers to pull out all your best moves in the final lap. It's exhilarating... no... it's F@CKING CRACK. The difficulty from the bots range from Normal, Hard, and Expert. Normal = we let you win Hard = we let you win, but we made it look convincing Expert = we will kill you, burn you, and piss on the ashes As you can imagine, for those looking for a challenge, the real game doesn't start until you hit expert. The game only has 25 tracks, with mirror options and 4 game modes. Not a ton of content. But the tracks are expertly designed and the corners are clearly inspired by real world race tracks that have clever ways to forcing drivers to thread the needle consistently in order to win. Finally, all the cars feel different enough from each other, and the minor differences feel bigger when you spend enough time with one car and get used to it. don't expect to switch cars and still be comfortable in the new one when on Expert Difficulty.

overall, i wish steam had a neutral button. this is a really mid game, somewhat 6/7 depending on how much enjoy its genre its a vibrant arcade racing game with really stiff controls, and even shittier controller support (DS4), instead making me play on keyboard which was fun for the beggining, but i can't play on expert with it i have really mixed feelings about the drift. its really cool to have such high speed drifting with turbo and all, but i feel the game loses its appeal with such hard drifts which you have little to no control (or i just suck on keyboard) but i can't deny it. on sale, as a racing games enjoyer, i fuck with it. the gameplay loop is fast and somewhat enjoyable, but i was definetly done with the game after beating all cups, since all the other modes suck and playing on expert was basically raging inducing 7/10 for me, it was kinda fun and somewhat challeging
