Sooo... This is actually one of my favorite games. It's too bad they don't have a little more coop in it, BUT, unlike most of sword arts games you can actually adventure through the overworld (Not the main storyline, annoyingly), and the infinite dungeon together, as well as some boss runs. Now, the main drawback, are the super crappy controls. Anyone who made this, had clearly never played the port, and I don't even think the gamepad controls are all that good, either. I wish they'd start considering how awkward their games are to play a little, they haven't improved it much in the future, either. I do love all of the variety of characters, they almost all handle quite differently. For instance, you can turn yourself into a battle fortress with one character, run around as a jaguar with another, play as an archer, a mage, a terrible villain, a great buffer, a super bouncy crazy slashy something or another... And every character has a slightly different spec, so you can customize pretty well to your playstyle. Tl;dr - If you can get past the horrible controls, and you like sword art, or even just a decent action rpg, it's worthwhile. Oh, and the crappy hints for where you need to go next, but go look for a walkthrough if you need one ;P

As many others I came from SAO and AW and I hoped that i find a unique experience and a non traditional rpg with the characters and story I saw in the anime. While the characters are there, this game is not only not a really good RPG it's not really a good game either. The controls are ported from consoles to PC as an afterthought and it shows. The graphics are leaning towards the bad side but I would say ok. (It's ageing slowly like fine milk.) It had some hicups during gameplay (cuz it's a port) but nothing serious during the 90mins I tried to play it. But It's so clunky, so unrefined, so console port, I could not play it more than that. The devs and publisher used the hype for the mange/anime that was very popular at the time to milk some fans and they succeeded. I only bought this because the hype. This was my first and last time I did that. I do regret buying the game, I wish I could still refund it but it's just going collect dust in my library forever.
