So far I really like METAMORPH! The game looks great and plays without any problems. Also this game supports a controller which is a big PLUS for me, since I was used to a Xbox controller.

For early access, this game is very stable, has a lot of content, and is very fun. It reminds me of a mix of Diablo III, Gauntlet, with splash of something unique in the hero system. The game is fair in the challenges and fun finding new combos as try to solve the dungeon maps. My only issue is no controller support (as of this review). This game even fun to just watch others play. I hope they keep adding more content to this game such as random dungeon seeds or longer dungeon rooms (maybe a endless mode). This game would be fun to speed run too. Definitely pick this one up! You can watch our First Impressions of MetaMorph here ► https://youtu.be/xuuvimuyDe8
DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review

PLEASE NOTE: This review is/was written when this game was in/is still in Early Access. Think twice before buying/playing this game
MetaMorph: Dungeon Creatures is a game developed and published by FireFly Studios The game offers some pleasant graphics and really vibrant colours, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same The game does suffer with some repetitiveness at certain areas of the game but a fun game nontheless MetaMorph: Dungeon Creatures overall, however, is a fun game to play in short bursts and a good strategy adventure RPG game to play!
RECOMMENDED :)
REVIEW SOURCES:

None

thumbed it up... but... Not exactly what I expected. I was hoping more for more of a Guantlet type . the point and click movement /enemy auto attack is kind of meh. Don't like that right mouse key is hard bound. Probably get $5 worth of enjoyment out of it .

Let's start off with the obvious here: This game is still in Early Access and will be prone to bugs, crashes, etc. I played for a good hour before I went to bed and didn't have any issues. I got home from work and crashed randomly on the dungeon map, skill window, and in the dungeon multiple times before I gave up for the time being after completing one level (took 4 tries due to constant crashing). Overall the game is fun if you're looking for a mindless hack and slash. If you can buy it on sale, it's worth having in your library for random amusement. Pros: Decent graphics, responsive controls (KB&M), and the levels (up to level 15 anyway) are short enough to get a quick run in before work but long enough to make it feel like you've done something. Cons: Again - this is EA and it's prone to bugs and crashes so I'm going to skip past those. In the pros I listed the length of the levels but I'm also listing them here for the exact same reason. The levels take maybe 3-5min max to complete and have so far consisted on 3-5 rooms per dungeon run. While this allows you to have very short play sessions for a busy life, it also makes it feel like the game doesn't have any real substance. Another con (again - this stems from it being EA!!) is the number of crashes I've already experienced after 1h20m or so of play time. One crash was clicking on the door to enter the next dungeon. The next crash was clicking to upgrade a skill. After that it started happening randomly in the middle of a dungeon run, loading a dungeon, exiting a dungeon, clicking on a treasure chest, clicking skip or done on the awards screen... Should the devs get the game stable, add some more substance, and maybe make the levels about twice their current size... I'd highly recommend it for everyones library as it's a good ole hack'n'slash with the ability to alter and upgrade your skills before you start a dungeon.

This is a fun top-down view, arcade style, hack & slash dungeon crawler. I like that you can transform between different MetaMorphs as you plow through hordes of skeletons and other creatures in order to save your captured goblin friends. I also enjoyed smashing through walls with the golem and dodging dangerous traps. Check out my gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cHa_wXpzTQ&feature=youtu.be

This is prety fun puzzle hack slash dungeon crawl game. Graphics and characters with there special abilities and upgrade system make it interesting. Infact your find yourself going backwords to old levels to do them again for faster times with new abilitys and upgrades. Level design and Mobs are fun and you will get frustrated and die few times. But kind makes it a challenge which pushs you try sgainutry new tactics abilities. Pgoid game for price for people who like old style dungeon crawl Puzzle games. Only downside I don't seem get any achievements on steam.

Runs really well for an Early Access game, looks okay and the fundamental gameplay seems interesting. The problem I have with the game is that it is a bit slow and the combat lacks the satisfaction of some other games out there. The switching mechanic is a nice addition, but it just emphasizes how slow the ogre is. I know he is supposed to be like that but in my opinion he is only good for switching to, smashing something and immediately switching back. Just giving the "main character" more skills would be better in my opinion. It can however be fun to switch in the right moment to avoid damage. The sawblades do a lot more damage to the rabbit than the ogre for example. Overall the concept is intriguing, but the execution does not fit my personal taste. Maybe if the game gets more updates.

So, after the first 30 minutes, I walked away happy with what I have experienced. I have only unlocked 2 of the 3 characters, and switching between them for combos is very satisfying. However, I think the game shines in forcing your foes into their own traps. This is highly encouraged in the beginning of the game and is a blast. I am excited to unlock the third character and unlock skills and learn combos to destroy swarms of enemies. So far, this is VERY playable for an EA title. I am not sure how many levels there will be, but all 3 heros look completely fleshed out with skills, upgrades, and they handle well. I adhere to the philosophy that if I get an hour per $1 spent, I think it was worth the price. For only $10 ($9 on sale now) this game will easily be worth it. They also have new heros and maps on their development schedule, so this looks like it will be a great gem in my steam inventory. Strongly recommend to those who enjoy dungeon diving and killing hordes of enemies. Will update when I finish what is available in its current state so others know how much content there is. UPDATE: Ok, so I have unlocked the fire nymph and played her in a level. Here are my overall feelings now, after playing a bit more: So, if you have played Agents of Mayhem or MXM, you will feel right at home with the hero switching mechanic. For those who have not, you are able to quickly switch heros with key 1, 2, or 3 as well as a roll of the mouse wheel (my fav). This is a very quick switch and is great to use in combo with other hero's moves. I was worried at first, like I wanted to just walk around as the giant all the time, but that will just get you killed. He is SLOW as kiting is a main way of getting emenies in groups to walk into traps or do combos on. But the game does very well switching to each hero for obvious benefits. I was a bit unsure of the levels themselves at first. You can earn 3 stars on each level (like many mobile games) and those stars can currently be used to unlock "star levels". You get a star for completion, rescuing a goblin, and finishing the lvl in a short amount of time. I thought the time star hindered my desire to explore a bit. Once you unlock the star for that level, you can ignore it. I also played my first "star level". The game allows you to skip them, but i highly suggest you play them. No time limit, a ton of mobs and traps, this is where the game feels perfect. I really enjoyed it. I also thought the leves were very easy at first. I was 3 staring each lvl my first attemp until lvl12 or 13. Then they became a bit more of a challenge. I now die here and there and I usually do not get the time star on my first run anymore. As for loot. The game rewards chests after a lvl is completed and sometimes in the dungeon map (by completeing a certain number of lvls). These unlock, what i assume to be, cards. These are used to upgrade your heroes and their abilities aloing with gold you earn during the lvles. As the devs add heroes, i can see this being a bit more rewarding as you try to unlock more heroes as well as lvling their abilities. (you can upgrade abilities with gold if you dont want to wait for card drops). I'm currently at lvl 16 or 17. I thought the game eneded at lv 12, but further leves were to the right of my current screen (an arrow or something would have been helpful). Still really enjoying the game and new traps the game throws at me. Will continue to update as I play more.
