I love trackmania franchise. I played a lot of the older titles and always wanted to try the new environments. Trackmania lagoon features a very fast, gripy and twitchy car which is very difficult to handle. I did enjoy the official campaign although many maps are very difficult due to reasons explained below.
Beware!!!
This game is hard. This might be the most difficult car to handle out of the trackmania franchise. Plus some of the official campaign maps are broken due to later patches that changed some physics, therefore some press forward starts that were calculated before now don't work and on later rollercoaster maps you usually fly out because the magnets now boost you and you are too fast for the map. This being said, its still possible to beat the campaign with all Green medals, but some maps are tricky and very hard to drive now.
Overall, I would recommend this game to a trackmania fan, but if you have never played trackmania before, this game might be too difficult to start with and doesnt offer as much as for example trackmania Turbo.
