I bought this game for a specific purpose and it failed at it. I was supposed to make a youtube video on this game, I recorded for 1 hr and 16 min. Once i was ready to edit the video there was no gameplay just a plain black box that took up about 7/8 of the screen and thats all that it decided to record that black box and the sound that came from the game. I doubt it was my recording software but rather the game because the game locks you out from going to any other application or going to the desktop at any point in time. (windows key, Ctrl+shift+esc). I believe this to be the reason as to why my software only recorded the black box.

Even though this game is really bad in a "so bad it's funny" kind of way, and can be enjoyed ironically, the game can't stream properly.
I can't really add much to the review, or at least talk about things that other reviewers didn't cover.

Ok, I completed the game and here are my thoughts:
One playthrough took me about 24 hours. This is because of the character's running speed. If you're not jogging from your bungalow to the beach (read: one corner of the map to the other), you're waiting on someone to go into position so their conversation indicator will light up. The other characters never run, so that takes time. Also, there is no list of the things you have to do, so I think a good part of the game is spent on just blindly jogging around to see the conversation indicators, if you're not paying attention to the conversations, then good luck finding out where to go next. So overall, a smaller map or faster characters would have been nice. However, this game is for kids so maybe the slow pace is better for their developing brains, rather than finishing the game in 1 hour and speedrunning everything.
I agree with other people that played this game, that it's a tad over-feminine and kind of unserious... But to be fair, it is targeted towards young girls. I don't think this game comes off as misogynistic or paints girls as caricatures. It's just about a complicated love story with added elements of being a girl. Sure, the focus is love, and kind of chasing a man, but that is the theme for this game. To be fair, when the drama goes down between the boys and girls, the MC really gives it to 'em. She calls her love interest a loser like a hundred times after she sees the context of the situation, and really drives in the fact that this situation isn't okay and she isn't going to be treated this way. The best friend of the protag, sure is slow, but she remains a great friend throughout the game, also name-calling the boy and driving the fact he's a cheating loser home. The only girl in the series that's seen as a villain is Jessica lovingly called by our protag as a tramp after she's unbelievably mean to us. She is shown to be a really bad person through this whole game. She cheats and maybe steals stuff from people's homes. I like that she is not the villain just because she has your man.
There is make-up, which is actually really fun to try to make as ugly as possible and have everybody ignore it and tell me how pretty I am, fashion, which is horrible, truly horrible... There is also side jobs, which I found to be tedious, except the ice cream gig, it's pretty chill, and the pay is aight.
The story is pretty good actually. At first, you meet a guy that seems really romantic, then you find out he has a girlfriend, then you find out she's cheating on him with basically every other guy on the resort, you try to tell him the truth, he doesn't believe you, you hand him evidence, and at the end of the game you win a competition and everybody claps and he tells you how he feels and you stare into the sunset, the end, roll end credits.
The character creator is like 4/10, you can only change your hairstyle and hair color... and the hairstyles don't even come in every color. From what I remember, there is only one hair option for redheads... No choice of eye color, no choice of skin color, no gender. To be fair this did came out in 2008...
The fortune cookie on the island, I think, is a nice touch to the game and the overall girlyness of it. I only took 4 quizzes, not sure how many there are total. I found out that the fragrance that would suit me best is a floral with a hint of vanilla. Funny thing, at the end of the game, when you're cuddled up in your lover's arms by the shore, the whole game kind of ends up as being one big fortune cookie, as through the game, you have statistics of your character trais, like intelligence, emotional intelligence, humor, romanticism and such... At the end of the game, it told me that all my stats were at 100%, and it gave me a reading, listing all 6 of the traits and basically described me as the player.
The tropical music in the resort is repetitive but really not that insanity-inducing, even though I probably heard it loop a thousand times. I enjoyed it and it honestly made me long for a beach vacay. The tone, music and setting of the game might be the first game to actually make me relax. Probably because it's a vacation simulator and not monster-fighting, horror-apocalypse-surviving game, like I'm used to.

TL:DR: Recommended only at the sales price of .90 USD for the dogs, swimming and sunbathing. If the game bugs stop forward progress you won't be able to do much else.
I want to love this game, I really do. That I reviewed it then sank two more hours into it trying to win should say something. But there's just so much wrong with it. For a fun vacation in paradise game it just doesn't deliver. You and your bff have hit the island for fun and possible romance with the local guys. Unfortunately, you came with relatively little spending money if you had shopping in mind.
The shopping seems to lock after the first day, so you can buy the dress and shoes required for the club if you don't feel like working. But you came to shop, right? OK, walk dogs. That's all you can do on day one and they are a lot of fun. Until you realize bikini sets run for 18, nice dresses for 65 and so on.
That wouldn't be a problem if you didn't have to buy food too. And if the rng gods frown upon you? Well walks can earn as little as 2 and eat up your energy. You're better off letting shopping go and buying a brush or suntan lotion at the supermarket to keep up your beauty stats.
The second day you can earn more money delivering letters, but can no longer shop for clothes. And I couldn't progress past that as I started over to be able to grind to buy a dress and bikini.
There's just so much wasted potential here. NPCs mention things like being able to buy snacks at the pool bar. You can't. You can't buy coffee or tea in the lounge either. You can't get a nice meal after buying your fancy dress. You can't even use the internet cafe.
You can swim from the start and walk and jog on the beach. Your "dream boyfriend" is a total dip. Trust me, the dogs are better company. I got this on sale for .90 USD and I'd say it's worth about that as a walking and swimming sim.
To the devs: You could totally fix this. Start the player off with a more generous amount, lower the clothes prices and expand the clothes selection. Let the player date whomever they want. Add surf lessons or renting the paddle boat with your bff. Smash those bugs that gum up progress.

Bought this because I wanted to see the 'thrilling' conclusion upon seeing Funhaus play the game.
It's just really bad. I can't even elaborate because it's all bad. Bought it as a joke, recieved a joke of a game.

After reading the reviews i wanted to write my own experience.
No, I'm not paid for writing my review and no, I don't "really" recommend to buy this game.
I want to start off with saying, Yes i did expect more of this game too.
But i don't think it is as bad as people say it is in their reviews.
Yes, It has some flaws, Yes, It gets boring fast but the game isn't only negative.
I personally kinda enjoyed playing it because of all the flaws.
You start of choosing the looks of your character and the "Boyfriend" character.
You can also give your own name to them which i really liked.
You are at the resort with your best friend Vanessa (Who is the slowest person on earth and not only that...)
I picked out a cute bikini in the character menu and Vanessa who is apparently a blind horse asked me "Did you unpack your bikini yet? Did you put it in the closet? What are you waiting for? Put it on!"
I have it on Vanessa! You are standing in front of me! How can you not see me wearing it.
Vanessa and me decide to explore the resort and we step outside our bungalow.
The place doesn't look that bad actually.
Then some random guy walks towards us, He's the manager of a surf school and he does the entertainment at the resort.
He told us his name is Ringo! But guess what... His name tag is saying Rob!
So i know i should never talk to "Ringo" ever again, because he is clearly a liar.
After "Ringo" left, me and Vanessa decided to look at the beach.
Vanessa was so ridiculously slow that i could run to the beach and back to the bungalow at least 10 times.
Since i'm a huge animal person i ran towards the first dog i saw.
This is also the most fun i had in the entire game.
You can walk with the dogs! Yes, for reals! It follows you, it's so cute.
After that i met up with Vanessa who is laying on a towel on the beach.
Oh, I have a towel too! Let's lay next to each other and chat like besties do. NOPE!
You can't because you can only stare at your towel on the top left.
Your stats go up just by having an item in your hot-bar.
This is one of the things i disliked the most! What a disappointment.
Because Vanessa started to ignore me, i got lonely and decided to talk with some other people on the resort.
This one guy wanted me to buy him a newspaper... Seriously? I don't even know you! What makes you think i buy you stuff? Then a different guy wanted me to get him a drink... You got to be kidding me.
I accidentally talked to that guy again and he got even more rude by saying "I did ask you to bring a drink of juice to me, I'm waiting!"
What did you say to me? I'm not your slave!
After that i met a creepy Rastafari who clearly has bad intentions.
He knew i was on vacation without my parents!
I answered with something like How did you know?
He said "I see the sparkle in their eyes, it's your first time being free from your parents"
God, I'm going to lock my door tonight and barricade it with everything we have inside our bungalow.
I ran off and met the future "boyfriend" he said everyone on the resort gets a tour!
I wanted to go on the tour together with my bestfriend Vanessa.
When i asked him if Vanessa could join he made clear Vanessa was NOT welcome.
He wanted me to come alone. I don't know this guy and I'm at a resort filled with crazy people.
Of course I'm not going.
Instead i decided to go to a club.
The clothes i had were not good enough so i bought an expansive new outfit to enter.
The person at the door also told me he would put me on the VIP list.
I entered the club and guess what? There was a bartender and 3 other people sitting on a couch.
No one was dancing. It was the worst party ever so far.
I walked towards the bartender to order some cocktails to loosen up. It's vacation after all!
Apparently Alcohol isn't allowed on this resort! Because the strongest drink i could get was a glass of milk.
I got a glass of water and thanked him with my manly voice.
My character is female but i often set up a manly voice for no reason.
People at the resort don't know how to dance either, I figured this out the next day when i took some dance lessons.
Dancing is not that easy and clearly not for everyone.
Anyways, This is a game that you shouldn't take too serious.
Don't expect too much!
For me it was just one of those games i wanted to have just for the sake of having it.
Do i recommend buying this game because it is so good? No...
I just give it a thumbs up because i didn't think it was as bad as others said it was.
I laughed a few times playing this as you can see.
10 euro is too expansive for this game and you should definitely not buy it for that price.
