It's a fun game. Bloody battles surrounding Numantia

A hex-based war game, where you can choose to play as the Numantians (a Celto-Iberian tribe) or the Romans. Takes place during the Roman conquest of Hispania. Standard combat for its type. Background is interesting as not many games cover this period. Any most of those don’t focus on this particular conflict. Rather interesting.

Wish I could like it as I'm a big Roman nerd but the controls are simply terrible and the UI is a cheap console knockoff. If you are intrigued by this game don't bother and wait for Song of Steel which will be releasing in 2024, is basically doing the same story of this game and promise a better experience overall. So this game is clearly a console game that was ported to PC, as opposed to a PC game ported for consoles. The UI and controls are terrible compared to most other games in the genre. The game is slow, and does not feel smooth or put together well. If you are a strategy or tactics game fan, I would stay away from this game, and try one of the other hundreds of options out there. I would only say this game might be worth it, if it is on sale, and you have an insane love of this era in history and these specific countries of that time period. Other than that very specific person, I would save my money, and play something fun. The Total War series is often on sale and puts this game to shame, and the Total War games offer great mod support for endless fun.

Cool concept. Like the art style and seems like it could be a fun game. Everything is great, if it weren't for the UI. I disregarded the feedback from other reviewers. The UI is clunky and poorly designed. Want to select something? Click it and THEN press enter. Sometimes you can click again sometimes you actually need to press enter. Want to select a different unit in your list of available units? Press space to cycle through all the units one by one until you find the right one. Nevermind the list of units, clicking there does nothing.
