you guys messed up not only the DLC you waved at us to help buy the game but a cheap 70p ship addon that looks nicer than the starter but wait whats this as soon as you get to the point of getting access to the 2 ships do you find out the mission youve been on makes those 2 null and void as you can not upgrade eather of them just th starter ship that gets 300+ extra crush depth a few ectra crew and storage and the same guns as the others that stay at 200m crush depth yes they have more 5 guns and 2 torpedo bays but so dose the starter ship after you up grade it.
what where you thinking at least make them upgradable so its more of a style choice of what one you want to continue on with hmmm the one that can go deapper and has the same guns and space as the supposed better pre order or pay for ones.

Hands down the best looking ship in the game by a country mile or fathom, whatever works. Basically just a reskin of the Lua or Lue, whaterver it is called. Biggest cargo hold in the game with great weapons coverage. With the right weapons, just as powerful as larger subs and due to its generous crew capacity, can keep up with normally faster subs. Played this ship through the whole game and loved every minute of it!

even after having the all the otehr maxed sub i comer back to teh Manta to farm loot since it ahs the largest cargo hold
sexiest design out of all the subs too!

A lot of the times we buy these things to support the developers so that they can continue their work on the current game or future games.
This DLC adds a extra sub to the game world for you to play with.
Honestly, the game is so buggy that you hardly get to enjoy half of its actual features, so the extra DLC content does not really help or improve the game.

The changed this DLC so you now have to buy the sub with ingame currency. It's quite expensive and as you can see from the below comments now definitely not worth it as you can upgrade/replace it with something better.

It's an excellent submarine worth buying to ease combat and end them quickly against low tier submarines. It features 6 canons of which five are straight front so it's best to engage in direct combat. It features also a stcok torpedo launcher straight from the beginning. To change from your starter submarine simply go to the dwarf left after the tutorial zone and have 1000 gold to upgrade the base. You can then access your submarine choices.
More specificaly: 6 canons, 1 torpedo launcher, 9 m/s top speed, about 20 slots of space, 15 crew space, 200 max depth (it automatically upgrades with your starter ship that you upgraded).
I find it worth including in your base game

After playing a while, I have to say that I don't recommend this "Manta" DLC.
Pros:
+ better than starting submarines in the early game
+ bolt turrets have almost 360 degree coverage
+ 40-slot cargo size
+ looks nice
Cons:
- after reaching an upgrade level 2, it becomes arguably worst than starting ships
- Manta's very long hull makes turning in tight spots quite difficult
- Manta's very long hull makes docking sometimes difficult
- slow travel speed

Great sub, glad I got it.
Let's be clear - You can't finish the game with this sub - but that's a good thing.
This sub is very helpful for new players due to its
+big cargo space (40 slots)
+high hit points (30)
+Base dive depth 1300
The only downside is that some ships' 3rd upgrades will be better than the "Manta" in regards of
-depth
-speed.
BUT
That's fair, otherwise this DLC would be pay to win. You have to buy another sub in order to finish the game.
The surpreme cargo space makes farming the necessary items to buy and upgrade ships very easy though.
And the inferior speed does not matter once you have a decent crew stationed in your helm with some endurance.
Verdict: very helpful in the beginning and great farming ship
