👎 Absolutely not recommended for any modern Unity developer
As a senior Unity developer and part of a tiny 3-person indie team, I used the one-time purchase version of Articy Draft 3 for over a year. We chose it because of our tight budget — survival is our top priority.
But I’ve now discovered that Articy Draft 3 is fundamentally broken for any real Unity production use case involving:
IL2CPP builds → Completely fails during Android builds. I’ve tried every fix, nothing works.
Unity Addressables → Not supported at all. The code is closed-source, so even if you can fix it, you're not allowed to.
Upgrading to Articy X magically solves both problems — meaning these are not bugs, they are intentionally unresolved limitations in v3.
These massive issues are not mentioned anywhere on the store page. There is no warning, no notice, and no refund path. I now have three unusable licenses of Draft 3, and was forced to pay full price again for Draft X just to get basic Unity support.
If Articy Draft 3 cannot support modern Unity workflows, why is it still being sold?
🚫 Do NOT buy this version if you are a modern Unity developer.
Articy Draft 3 is obsolete, broken, and intentionally unsupported.
Get Articy X — or better yet, look elsewhere.
