Its alright, but it isn't audio from the game, its a recording of someone playing them. Not recommended.

While the music is good this release is rediculous. It's not the music used in the game but instead recorded audio of someone playing each track. You can hear the sound effects from activating star power as well as when you get note streaks. It's even still got the cannons constantly going off in the background BEHIND THE MUSIC! You might as well just record the audio yourself while playing the game. There's no point in buying this.

So, the soundtrack does download, but it isn't in your steam library. It can be found in the folder the game files are stored in. The first 15 tracks are in the main folder, and the remaining 5 are in a folder named Bonus Songs. I listened to a random sampling and didn't hear any game effects at all. Sounded like they were the tracks, not someone who recorded a playthrough. I'll update this if I come across anything like that and put details. If you have the game you know what you're in for. That being said, I'm going to put a recommend on this with a caveat. Regular price for this is $4.99, and I can't say I would have gotten it if it weren't on sale. The tracks are fun and easily transferable to a phone or other digital media playing device. Good for listening to during the holiday season for something a little different. Verdict: Give 'er a go but only if on sale.
