🎮 Blade of Galadriel DLC — Misunderstood, Not Broken Most casual players don’t understand what this DLC represents. It’s not meant to be a Talion clone or power fantasy — it’s a symbolic epilogue, a cold reckoning where light must end the shadow it once relied upon. Let’s break it down. 🗡️ You Play as Eltariel – The Blade of Galadriel Purpose: Not a new hero arc, but the fulfillment of justice and consequence. Combat style: Light-based, elegant, focused on precision and cleansing rather than raw domination. Yes, it feels slower and less fluid than Talion — because it should. Talion was bound to brutality, darkness, domination, a hybrid of Wraith and Man. Eltariel? She's pure light and judgment. 💀 Why People Complain: No Nemesis System (true, it's reduced). Light powers feel awkward to players used to Talion's overwhelming arsenal. Shorter and less epic-feeling campaign. But… 🔥 What They Missed: This is not Talion’s journey anymore. This is the closing of a wound. You are not meant to enjoy the power. You are meant to end it. Final Act of the Undead Ringbearer: Talion becomes a Nazgûl. You, as Eltariel, must hunt and end what remains of his soul. It’s tragic, beautiful, and morally sharp — not just another game level. Narrative Payoff: Galadriel’s will is felt through every moment. The cost of wielding power is seen, not just talked about. Final Closure: This DLC isn't about power—it’s about cleansing the stain left by Celebrimbor’s defiance and Talion’s sacrifice. Blade of Galadriel isn’t just a DLC. It’s the funeral of Mordor. The light doesn’t entertain. It judges.

Worse DLC ever, the plot is bad, terrible gameplay - build a character around Light abilities, but most of the Captains in Quest are resistant to Light, and a bunch of other things too, making combat just a mindless X-button mash.

I am glad we get the chance to play as this amazing protagonist, Eltariel, a cunning warrior of Galadriel with a noble heart. I could just imagine the joy of playing this character in the base game as well, not just as a skin..

I love Shadow of War, I really do. But this feels like trying to add in more story when it could've been left wrapped up nicely in the base game. The replayability even makes sense AFTER you see the epilogue for Talion's Arc. This would-be assassin should have died at Barad-Dur and stayed that way. An unnecessary character and an unnecessary epilogue for game that ALREADY HAD ONE! If you find yourself with the deluxe edition on sale, I'd recommend against it. Even if you get the cool orcs, they're going to die the moment a siege starts and never come back after the fact. Keep to the base game. It was good before the DLC, and if you want to stay true to Talion's Arc, you'd steer clear of this. Talion deserves to fight to the last for the balance of Middle-Earth, and not against some terrible character who has no bones in this story aside from "Ah! I must fight against the Nazgul and Orcs because I was told to!" Fucking Unbelievable!
