Note: Stay away if you're allergic to incest (I do think that particular route is well-written, wholesome, and has quite an impressive character growth arc). Otherwise, read on.
This is basically a standard Japanese high-school romance with a bit of supernatural gimmick and some outdated value. The plot is pretty well-structured, and didn't feel dragging to me. I enjoyed the story. It has some issues, but none that significantly detract from the reading experience. I have to say that the English stylization is quite weird. If you don't at least know a little bit of Japanese, reading the over-stylized dialogue from a certain foreign character will be kind of painful.
It has good atmosphere, fine writing, readable translation (with weird English style choices), very good chemistry, little slice-of-life filler, good pacing, good characters, interesting gimmick, and natural plot progression. Most emotional beats are well-placed also. The developer did at least a good job on almost all aspects. That's pretty impressive. I love that all characters are still present in other people's route, and kind of get everything together in the main plot/true route.
The steam version has no 18+ patch, but to be honest the h-scenes (in the original Denpasoft release) were pretty boring and weren't even an integral part of the story; I think it's safe to skip them.
