Anther LiS installment that forces you to feel and be invested in the characters in the best way. Just finished it right before writing this but from how much I'm shaken emotionally, it is undoubtedly a great story. 9/10 for me

This game made me bawl my eyes out at the end. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think this is the best Life is Strange game. I adore Sean and Daniel. The dynamic between the brothers is absolutely fantastic. It's the emotional core of the story and I was fully invested. Both leads were performed so beautifully. All the characters they meet on their journey are great too! Very authentic and believable. I'm from the west coast and I have met all of these people. From the weird Christian cult people to the pot picking hobos. From the Arizona artists to the wide variety of racists the kids encounter. Even the Portland liberal being originally from Utah was 1000% a person that could actually exist. Whoever did the writing must have been from the area because they nailed it. I loved the drawing mechanic. It brought me peace in the same way it brought Sean peace and I thought that was beautiful. The mechanic really supported his characterization. How the game used Daniel's super power was also great way to flesh out the characterization for both of the kids. So well done. I could go on. I recommend this game to anyone. It's so good I wish I could give it two thumbs up.

I like this game, I played it once in 2019 and again in 2025. I liked both endings I got each time I played. Story is good, graphics good, I recommend. It is cool seeing how choices you decide on in the game ripple effect as you progress.

This game didn't grab me as much as previous Life is Strange games. After finishing the first episode, I had mixed feelings. I honestly don't think it's worth the time.

First game I decided to play in 2025. Given that LIS 1 was an ok game I gave it a go. Damn it was a rough one. The writing just doesn't make sense, the characters are borderline sociopaths or in Daniels case a narcissistic sociopath, the voice acting is terrible and the story has way too many holes. Overall the game felt like a drag since episode 1. Even if the game is free I would suggest you to do something better with your time. Only play this game is you are paid to do so. 0/10 and definitely in the top 5 worst games I've ever played in my life.

I take back everything I said, THIS is the best story game i've ever played, Seriously. I've never felt so many emotions playing a game (I cried the whole time). You'll go from being happy to being depressed in a matter of minutes, but it's so worth it. You'll get attached to the characters without a doubt, the Diaz brothers are impossible to hate. The story is so deep and full emotions, you also get to meet tons of amazing people. The soundtrack is absolutely PERFECT, you'll hear bangers in every episodes, i promise (such as a Gorillaz song in episode 3 and many more amazing songs). You'll have to make heartbreaking choices which will impact the ending you get (there are a few you can get). I've only played the game once and I'll for sure play it again. Honestly, if you want to feel something, or be left with an empty feeling after finishing the game, i recommend playing Life is strange 2.

only just got through episode 2 but damn this game is really good. it would have been my top one if I wasn't so emotionally attached to the first life is strange. the cutscenes feel like a movie. watching over Daniel reminded me of looking out for my lil siblings too. I’ll probably add more thoughts when I finish the whole game ♥︎

I liked previous LiS games and wanted to like this too. Episode 1 was probably the best, but then it goes downhill. By Episode 3, Daniel's character is little more than an emotional plot device. Most people know kids who have lost a parent or gone through tough situations. Some act out, but the consequences usually aren't life-threatening. That's very different from the kind of survival scenario presented in this game. I suspect the writers have little experience with kids who've had a parent killed in front of them and are forced to struggle just to eat or avoid freezing to death. Kids in that situation aren't stupid. They grow up fast out of necessity, and they learn very quickly to recognize danger and avoid it. But Daniel doesn't behave like that. No matter what you do, his actions will defy even a child's logic of survival, because the writers need him to move the plot toward its next crisis in order to heap more and more abuse on you/Sean. The result is that Daniel doesn't feel like a real person. The longer I played, the less connected I felt to him and the more aware I became of the scripted reactions designed solely to trigger emotional responses: worry, awe, frustration, sadness, joy, wistfulness. Whatever the writers want you to feel in the moment, that's who Daniel becomes. As the game progresses, Sean's relationship with Daniel starts to feel less like a brotherhood and more like a battered caregiver, trapped in a toxic emotional loop with someone who has no stable identity or reciprocal empathy. Even in a high-brotherhood, high-morality playthrough, the increasingly rare moments of kinship feel like little treats meant to keep you hooked, just as a narcissistic abuser would offer. Ultimately, there is nothing deeper to Daniel's character than whatever emotion a given scene is trying to extract from you.
