It's a cute game to look at and play.
The play is super easy to pick up but the added perfectionist challenges make it a long process to complete.
It has a nice balance of simple to start and depth to come back to.
The nursery rhyme story telling in it is also a nice touch.
It's a simple puzzler that could be enjoyed by a huge range of ages so worth getting for a parent/ kid playing experience.

An innovative and stylish fairytale puzzle game,
thou don't get fooled by it's innocent looks -
It can be bloody difficult if you go for perfect score!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Play this game if:
- You want to help Lil' Red Riding Hood to get to Granny
- You like uniquely designed puzzle maps
- You want to enter a playful and cute world of Sweet Berries, Big Bears and Cute Bunnies
Do not play this game if:
- You are not that into brain work/puzzles
- You are looking for a deeper story
Verdict: 8/10 - Def worth full price!

Quite challenging, but super cute. I thought maybe I'm just too stupid for this game, since it looks like its made for children. Turns out it just difficult.

To Dear Readers,
"A Day in the Woods" is one of my first few computer games that I have ever played serveral years ago. Since my old computer died, this game was lost along with it. I am so excited to find this back on Steam! I don't know whether I would be qualified to receive the reward from previously owning the game, but even I am not able to receive anything, I still would 100% recommend this game to any one who enjoys cute graphic, lovely music, enjoyable puzzle and relaxing atmosphere. I can't wait to jump back into my advanture in the woods again like I was years ago. ^_^ How about you come join me, let's get in the woods!
To Dear Developers,
Thank you so much for making this little game allive again! I appreciate it very much that this little previous one come back to live and will be introduced to the whole gaming world again! Look forward to your new development in the future too! Thanks again, have a wonderful blessed day! ^v^

A beautiful, well-made game!
It's smooth, pleasant to watch and as easy or hard as you want it to be as you can just take Little Red to Grandma or go for the best number of moves, taking all you have to.
You unlock customizations (autumn background being my favorite) by collecting stars.
After finishing the last level, you unlock crowns. Levels you had finished meeting the requirements automatically get the crown so you don't have to redo those.
Apparently there are seasonal achievements. I'll have to remember that.

I love the wooden table top style art and sound effects, as that's whats initially attracted me to this game. The game itself is ok. I'm not entirely sure I liked it, but there wasn't anything wrong with it either. No bugs or anything like that. One complaint I did have is that the menu items aren't labeled and they kinda expect you to just figure things out based on the generic symbols. It's not that big of a deal, but it just made the UI look incomplete because it just *looked like* there were supposed to be labels.
Anyways. The game is good for what it is - a quick and easy to understand puzzle game. It delivers exactly what is promised, which is why I'm going to go ahead and recommend this game even though my feelings are more neutral.

Beautiful puzzle game with some fun stuff to unlock like seasonal backgrounds and sprite customizations. Completing a level may not seem too difficult until you try for those 3 star ratings. A nice challenge and fun to play. I got this one on sale but it's definitely worth the regular price of $4.99.

A fun and unique game; a few annoyances would include no difficulty level choices and a bit unbalanced in general in that regard because some levels and best score values are very easy and others are ridiculously difficult and require replay. Also the sound of the "sign" bonking is quite annoying especially since the signs serve no real purpose and once read and if replaying a level for bettering scores or crown levels it is completely unnecessary.
Overall recommended!

First impression: cute casual puzzle game
This is a sliding puzzle: there's a single hole on the hexagonally tiled board, and you can move pieces into it to move the hole and eventually get Little Red Riding Hood to grandma's house. Bonus if you can do it within the alotted number of moves, but it's not necessary. This gets challenging when you learn that you also have to pick flowers (and a berry bush for bonus), there are immovable obstacles, there are bears (who can be moved) that the girl needs to stay away from, fire that the bears can't come close to, and more -- you get the idea.
The game is quite well designed, and that applies both to the artwork, the interface, the available settings, and even the tutorial. It is simply enjoyable to play. I have logged 1 hour playing the first 16 of 60 levels, and it's fun shoving the bears hither and yonder to get the red girl to where she needs to go and not waste moves. I expect it would take beginners longer, especially if they want to catch all the stars, but you don't have to: I expect this game is quite accessible to kids (who are more likely to play it on a tablet, though). Update: on level 17 and 18, difficulty gets to medium to 3-star them.
Recommended.
It runs on my old Windows XP computer, but not quickly.
