I have playing this game. Really good and grate game experience, but batting position and handling to be changed. When I hitting to the ball bat will be hitting the ground. (My VR setup perfectly calibrated I have playing other Cricket Game also) this should be fixing by settings. And browser ball, Leg side white ball can’t be accepted. Bat shape also very basic. Fast bowlers and spin bowlers running methods, left hand right hand and off site wicket and round the wicket balling to be update.
Can you fix in next Update.

Just a really enjoyable batting experience with multiple game modes. Bat/ball physics are good. Works ok with HMD’s with inside-out tracking, but would be easier with lighthouse tracking. Only downside is the graphics and animations look like from a 5-10 year old mobile game.
EDIT: I won't change my old review... but go play iB Cricket instead, it is miles better than this in all aspects.

Love this game. Can play it for hours. (In VR world, 15 mins can be counted as hour :P)
Very believable physics, the games are challenging and lot of different scenarios to choose from.
DEVELOPERS, great job !
Just 1 suggestion. The holding position of the bat is too high. Ideally I hold the bat close to the blade and not on top of handle of bat. Give an option to position the controller such that, It feels like I am holding it in the middle or lower part of the handle. Thanks !

EDIT~
Since the update this game has improved massivley.Well done devs. Bat length better although grip still very slightly high. Addition of new modes and outdoor net is great.
Only real issues left for me now would be probably facing spin. medium spin is essentialy an 80mph seaming delivery with bouncers. This makes it impossible to play shots against this bowling and very hard to complete some of the spin based challenges.
No wides given for wide bowls aswell.
Other than that its fantastic and still play 3 - 4 times a week.

I have never written any kind of review for any game i own, and the reason why i am writing one for this is due to how passionate i am about cricket :-) and i would love the devs to make a couple of small changes.
Firstly.. would i recommend this game?? yes i would!
Are there issues ..... yes there are.
I think the main issue for me with this game is that the bat is very unrealistic. Length of bat is ridiculous and general position that you hold the handle is way off. This matters a great deal as half the bat dissapears into the ground and as the bat is too low this also means that balls that you would hit in real life end up going through the handle or shoulder of the bat.
I want this game to work soooo bad and honestly its nearly there.
2 issues for me are as follows
1. Bat issues ....see above
2. Slow bowling should be what it says.....slow. so notch it down by about 5-7mph should help. Especially spin.Or at least mix it up a bit.
All the other things that people have mentioned would not bother me as long as the bat thing is sorted.
Love playing though and i really hope another update comes soon

Things I like about this game:
The ball actually connects with the bat, no matter where you hit it, unlike in other cricket vr games.
Fun special run chases, over surviving, etc.
Fielder animations and running actually look (somewhat) good
You can skip waiting for the fielder to throw the ball back (very, very occasionally bugs and the bowler stands there without doing anything and you have to restart)
Only need one controller
Leaderboard system
Satisfying when the ball is hit
Generally a great game
Cons (although minor, still have an impact)
The markings on the pitch don't actually line up with the stumps
Fielders will catch the ball 100% of the time, no matter the speed, the height, the distance etc.
You can punch the ball 500km/h straight to silly mid off and he will catch it while playing the one handed diving animation. The only exception is the wicketkeeper. He will catch "nicks" 100% of the time but if you sky the ball and he's the one running for it he will let it drop 100% of the time.
The outfield is seriously, seriously slow.
The ball will occasionally bounce off the boundary for 3 (mainly near square or third man)
If a spin bowler opens the bowling, until you restart the match, every bowler (even the fast bowlers) will have the ball turn the same direction
The stumps are way too wide and a little bit too tall
The sounds get very repetitive (like the crowd cheering for a boundary and the milestone cheering.) Would love to be able to disable specific sounds while still having the bat connecting with the ball sound
And the main one that always bugs me: the handle is bigger than the vive controller. Seriously. Please fix this. Move the controller closer to the bat or just have it the same size. Bugs me so much.
Despite all this, I've spent many hours in love with this game, and despite all the cons listed, the pros definitely outweigh. Don't let this review put you off. I hope that changes are made, bet of luck to the dev team

I have bought a number of cricket games as I love the game and have played it for over 20 years. However, none of the game are yet at the stage where they can be regarded as being great. Having said that, I would thing Balls! probably needs to do the least amount to make it a fully fledge cricket game.
The biggest issue with all the cricket games are the speed of the ball and the resultant impact with the bat. Unfortuantely, Balls! is the least realistic. The leg spinner is bowling bouncers. The speed at which the fast bowler delivers is just a tad below the speed of light I would think. And the way the ball flies off despite me just blocking is totally unrealistic.
The only playable option in this game is to go into the practice nets and put on slow bowling to have some realistic fun. Otherwise the game is unplayable and frustrating.
Recommendations to make the game great:
1. Change the bowling speeds. This is not sticks cricket and if that is what you are emulating then it is a waste given how great this could be. I think the best way of resolving this issue is to provide an ingame option to change teh speed of the ball as a level. From maybe 10 to 100. When you change the speed it should change the speed of all the different styles by that margin across the board. For example, if I change the speed to 80% of what is the fastest then all other bowling styles should also be adjusted by 20%.
2. The way the ball comes off the bat is not realistic. This may be resolved somewhat when the speed of the ball is changed but I doubt it. The ball flies off no matter if you are blocking or taking a swing. The game should be taking into consideration the speed of the ball, the speed of the bat swing, the angle at which impact is made between the bat and the ball and the timing of that impact. For example, if I am blocking and the ball hits the middle of the bat, it shouldnt go flying off, it should maybe dribble 3-5 meteres infront of the bat. And when I am blocking but it hits the edge, it is reasonable that it might fly a certain distance but not for a six or 100 meters in the air everytime.
3. provide more options to the player. Allow uys to pick what kind of bolwers we want to play a match against. Providing this option right now will mean you will have more time to work on the other issues mentioned above. It will mean the game will become playable right now with the use of slow bowlers.

Good game, works with Oculus Rift.
but here are some issues
1) crazy speed. Need to slow down bowling.
2) Ball goes through bat handle.
3) Facing position should be customizable. Very uncomfortable batting position for me.
4) Batting feedback should be there when knocking the ground and hitting the ball.
5) Bat looks like a toy. Bat should be wider, bigger.
6/10 stars, but its the best cricket game that I have seen on vr.

I am concerned that the ball speed issue has been mentioned on numurous reviews {some quitre a few months old}, yet no attempt has been made to rectify it. I love cricket games, but the speed is just too fast. The game looks great, but is un playable for me in its current state.

Played this game after playing iB cricket and Cricket club VR.
The developer seriously needs to fix some basic issues. Basic customization is not available. It's the same bowler who keps bowling in all formats. Absolute waste of money.
Watch my review before buying the game.

It actually works fine in Rift but the bowling is crazy fast. Even a spinner is bowling it down almost faster than you can see. I play cricket for real and i'm not a bad batsman but these deliveries are insanely fast. If they just slowed it down a bit it could be a really good game. Some graphics settings would be nice too.
*update* I just want to add that I had a great session just now by going into the nets and changing the bowling settings to slow. It's still too fast compared to real life slow bowling but suddenly I was playing actual cricket shots and the ball (when hit) was reacting how it should. It felt great and like an actual training session. I then go back into the match/challenges and the same bowling type (slow) is crazy fast again, meduim bowling is insane and fast is just ridiculous. Is this speed a bug? Please Devs, slow ALL the bowling down. This game is SO CLOSE to being brilliant but is basically unplayable in the normal modes due to the crazy fast bowling.
Also, as other people have said, please can you change the facing angle to the angle that Steam VR says is forward. These two simple change will make THE WORLD of DIFFERENCE they really will.
