I'm enjoying my time with this game. I've only played in solo mode so far. The game would be harder to play alone. So, the devs implemented the 'backtracking' to help in solo mode. It's a clever mechanic in my opinion. You press a button and you go back in time leaving a decoy in your place to fool the guards. But you have to pay attention to your trajectory in order to stay behind the guards and succeed by shooting them or trying to escape and hide. Overall, I good solo experience even if the focus of this game is multiplayer.

Single player isn't great, but co-op is fun. The game has improved significantly since early access launch. The game would benefit from some sort of progress loop. Right now it's just a single, mostly self similar, procedurally generated campaign of about a dozen levels. You lose, and die, and gain nothing. But the core gamplay is good, with some... interesting design decisions.

Despite being early access and while it still has some localization issues with the english, this little cyberpunk roguelite stealth'em up plays best as a coop experience both online and with local split screen options. If you dive in with the right mindset and you hope to Kojima your way into insidious corporate mind control broadcast towers so you can save humanity, you might just be able to scratch your itch here. Bonus points, the solo indie developer behind this piece is really quick to respond to issues and suggestions as he continues to work on this project, as it should be with Early Access titles. I feel I waited a really long time for this game only to be terribly unimpressed by the result. Guards must be assassinated at a distance that is pixels away from bumping into them, which alerts them and instantly flips them around. However, if after shooting the guards shield a few times to distract him before running away, you manage to hide, don't worry. As long as he didn't die, he''ll return to his post and the alarm level will remain at 0. The english translation is also painful at best. Tooltips and information are usually discernable, but you can't help but hear "All your base are belong to us" in the back of your mind as you scramble around the first few levels desperately trying to get a clue what is going on. The tutorial does a really good job of making you think it will give you everything you need to know to play the game, and then dumps you off at the central hub with too many options and no explanation. All in all, I think this game still needs a lot of work before it is saleable, and I think Early Access at this point may prove to have been a bad idea.
