Game is broken. Launches to black screen with sound but no visuals, and apparently no fix available.
Would not recommend buying as seems to be random chance if it works for you or not.
Dissapointed as looks like it could be a great game.

I played this game in Alpha last year. It was a blast and just bought the game for myself.
It's a really fun game, but does anyone else have a problem of a blackscreen with just music playing?

The core gameplay is unique, fast-paced and fun. The movement is a bit odd, you press left/right to go clockwise/counterclockwise and up/down to go out/in. You get used to it eventually, but it can be hard to use at first. You've got three different attacks based on whether you are moving in, out, or standing still. Moving in is a strong attack that makes the ball much faster, standing is a regular attack that only increases the speed slightly, and moving outwards is a stall attack that stall the ball momentarily in place before sending it back. All these add some nice depth to the game to allow for mixups and mindgames.
While the gameplay is definitely fun, what surprised me the most was how good the aesthetic is. The animations are amazing, the music is great, and the sound effects of the crowd roaring, the ball being hit, and player impacts are excellent. They all mesh with the gameplay to enhance it and make it more satisfying.
The game is local multiplayer only, and the computer player is decent to play against. Even without another person to play with I would recommend this, but WITH a friend this is a must-buy, especially at $4. No huge flaws, and some excellent gameplay and amazing aesthetic.

A very enjoyable game to play during short breaks.
Excellent music, deep gameplay (there are many types of attack, you also got shields and crazy people entering the arena and triggering different random outcomes, but always dangerous for the players), interesting graphics.
It's fun both against the CPU and human players.
Well worth it if you don't have much time to play more sophisticated games or want an arcade option in your library.

A really great fun stylish game for two players! It plays the best with two xBox controllers!! First time I played it was with my friend at Portland Retro Gaming Expo back in 2015 and we were waiting for this release ever since. I can play this game with my buddys for hours. Highly recomend it!

This game is really unique, the premise is straight forward and simple but the gameplay has layers and layers of depth, there is a lot of creative techniques and strategies that can discover. I would say the only thing I would change is the ability to have the controls be up/downleft/right (instead of radial) for predictable control regardless of your position to the center.
Great game. Totally worth the money!
