I bought a handful of OSTs during the latest Steam sale, added them all to a new playlist and I've been playing it on shuffle. They're all great OSTs, yet everytime I find myself tabbing to my player to see which song is playing because I am loving it, it turns out to be from the Valley OST.
Easily one of my all-time favorite OSTs

From all of these I can't live without any of them... akaash rao, and selcuk bor have made some of my favorite music to date and I do not go a day without listening to this soundtrack at least once... Although some of my favorites would prolly be.
1. Lost recollections
3. warm waves of happiness
4. life yet in these metal bones
14. thundering charge
21. like a skipping stone
I also love how each peice seems to have a mirror to itself such as the similarity in Life yet in these metal bones and Like a skipping stone and the seeming continuation in 24.refection and 25. valley. Its all just so amazing to see all the nuance that goes into this and i'd love to share it with everybody.

Nice soundtrack, but the details of the files were messy and require fixing for anything reading them to understand this is one album (track numbers were wrong, album artist is sometimes missing).

I have both the game and the soundtrack but I don't know how to access the soundtrack which is bothering me because I loved every song in the game with everything I had. I have never heard more beautiful music in a game

This is a pretty good soundtrack. 3.5/5.
For anyone who hasn't played this game, the musical style is a bit similar to the music in the first Unreal game (the music which played in the wilderness areas or in small villages except this newer game has higher quality instrumentation but with less bass). The instrumentation mostly consists of fairly exotic/tropical sounding stuff like reeds, flutes, pipes, a variety of drums, etc. The style ranges from ambient/ethereal to upbeat exploration/adventure (which is most of this soundtrack) and a few action-oriented rushing, hurry, hurry, songs. There's also a very few foreboding songs here and there. Certain songs feature some vaguely epic sounding vocals singing fairly unintelligible lyrics (sort of Lord of the Rings style I guess) but 90% of this soundtrack is purely instrumental. The game's main melody does not consistently persist through every song but a main melody does exist and certain songs do return to different parts of it once in a while using different instruments.
So far as I can tell this soundtrack has all the musical pieces used in the game.
On the downside however, most of the tracks are fairly short (2-3 minutes or less usually) and their melodies do not repeat themselves very much within each song. What I mean by that is if a song is meant to play on an endless loop during a certain segment of the game, the same song in this soundtrack does not repeat itself for very long. Some songs here and there also fade out oddly (like they did in-game) instead of bringing themselves to full, satisfying musical conclusions.
The total soundtrack length is about 68 minutes though so that's not bad and you get a .wav file version along with an .mp3 version.
It's still an excellent soundtrack for only 5 dollars and at least pretty good when compared to the soundtracks of other, remotely similar exploration/adventure games. Really, I say this soundtrack would be worth it even if it cost 10 dollars.

Warm Waves of Happiness, Life Yet In These Metal Bones, Proving Grounds, and Reflection make this album worth the asking price. Expanse would be right at home on Christopher Tin's "Calling All Dawns." Pandora's Heart is a good intensity track.
That said, some of these tracks clearly have quality issues, Lost Recollections especially stands out as this being the case (muffled, doesn't have the clarity I'd expect from an OST).

The VALLEY.
Hidden somewhere in the Rocky Mountains, hiding a very dark Secret of the Past.
On your search for the legendary Lifeseed leads you into this Region and after an accident with your canoe you are stranded in the VALLEY.
On your way you reach an old Military Truck and find a strange Suit, called L.E.A.F. Suit, a Suit with the Power over Life and Death. Follow the Path of the Past and get ready to reveal a Terrible Secret of the Past and stop what you awakened with your Arrival.
