Great Game. Hope they remake or release NS3

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME WAS BAN PERMANENTLY after ( 4.3 hours) of game play.

The game is fun when you can play but between low player counts and some hostile players, just getting a game started though can be a challenge. The diversity in alien life form play-style makes both playing as one and playing against one feel dramatically different from any other multiplayer shooter I can think of in a great way. Playing as a marine, you are constantly checking every nook and cranny for wall climbing alien dogs waiting to ambush you or listening for the sound of wings signaling the alien bat monster's approach. On the other side, playing as an alien unlocks areas that marines can only reach with jet packs from the get-go. walls and ceilings are like floors and you can even fly. The commanding aspect can be challenging since the troops are uncontrollable and have minds of their own unlike other top down strategy games but seeing the battle from the new perspective gives an interesting grasp on the map's evolving situation. As is, the game is entertaining as long as you are prepared to mute team mates as necessary.

Love the Game, sadly it gets no more Updates. Its still a solid Game tho and has a small but active Community. If you played Counterstrike 1.5/1.6 and other HL Mods, you will love this Game, as it is based on the old number one HL Mod "natural Selection"

Couldn’t play this game for shit. Just spectated instead. Watching the chaos, humans and aliens tearing into each other, was way more fun than actually dealing with any of that shit in game. Then one game, the human team captain loses it on me. Apparently becoming a spectator takes up a player slot. His team was struggling, and me just sitting there enjoying myself was too much for him. Guy has a mental breakdown in chat and doesn't even build or order anything for his team anymore. I stayed. The match was great.

Cancerous small-knit community makes this game unplayable.

This was the greatest game on the internet between 2012 and 2015, but was taken over by the NSL hackers and server buddies. The community thinks nothing of feasting on greens. The majority of the players are cheating in some way whether it be wall hacks, aim bots or just general smurfing. The game itself is still great but as soon as you get into the community you will quickly uninstall.
