Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeons - Shinji DLC

"It's fine, don't worry about it." These are common words said by Shinji, who is well-known around Hagiwara's campus for being a helpful guy. But when people misread his reliable nature for something more, he withdraws into himself.

Another amazing route for MDSoA! Shinji is an adorable and mischievous sweetheart. I always love his responses when you joke or playfully tease someone too. "Why are you so hot?"

SUMMARY: If you dont love Shinji in the first 3 chapters more than anything, if you dont love how hes distant or if you are not sure that you'll like how he turns out to be when he "finally warms up to you" - BETTER NOT BUY THIS ROUTE. Chances are you'll be disappointed in the end. You have been warned. (If there happens to stand 0 hours playtime, then there is a mistake. I have about 18 hours playtime, of these at least 4 hours where on this route.) Game overall: - My only critique is the music, wich becomes boring after some loops. - CS were good but i would have hoped for more (or i'm used to get more of them in other VN/Otome). + Other that that the game is unusually polished + i personally enjoyed a more western/realistic artstyle for once + and the writing was good (both in grammar AND storytelling) + the maincharacter is normal, in a GOOD way. She reacts grumpy when someone is rude, shes flustered if its the situation but shes not overly anything. The writing conveyed a fully fleshed charcter wich you shape with your reaktions one by one. I really enjoyed seeing this instead of one blunt character! This particular Route: +/- Over all a intriguing plot, but i for my part found the plot it self to be more interessting than the guy (Shinji) himself until the very end + the pacing was better than with the End of Shous route (only one critique: one of the plot-acrs came off as fabricated, the others felt pretty natural) -/+ the relationship between shinji and MC is wierd at best. it develops slowly (wich is not bad) but its executed in a away that get neither tense nor exciting or dramatic. It just goes on and suddenly their kinda together. Dont get me wrong, it can be realistic, i know couples like that but this just presented very boring here (IMO). - Shinji as a character was very disappointing to me. He came of as a nice guy in the other routes (wich he is) but other than that he seems hollow where the other characters have traits. He is described by the game as some sort or genius, but he just knows of a lot of stuff and reads a lot. Most of the conclusion / reactions he came to, were not that hard to make out.... As a character he was pretty cheeky and funny or if not he was very distant - this is a usual trick to paint over some kind of problem or trauma wich he has both, but even after he kind of gets over them, i see no change in behavior other than he explains it to you. He stays strangely distant even to the end when you two became ugh "pretty close", wich felt wierd to me. - The MC was very oblivious, wich i find very sad to see. In the other routes she feels more original. In short: i liked how this MC was a real persone ond not a blend, trusty girl and this route kind of made her into even that. She just behaves like in every other, much blander, VN/Otome with no chance of changing it (You get only 2 choises for this). All in all: I am very sad how this route turned out. Shinjis distance made it hard to get interessted in him, his even more distanced actions made me nearly forget about him completly until chapter 10 (i believe). The plot was interessting, but the MC got on my nerves later with how she was written/reacting. All in all i was bored until the very end where they team up with one side, (wich was a good conclusion, i might add.) In regard to the other routes i've seen, i'm gonna downvote this one. The reason: it feels out of place and not as well thought out (in regards to shinji!) as the other ones. The plot was good but thats just half, if even a third, of the thing - its simply not enough to me.

This game is one of the best that I have found in a while. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys visual novels and otome games. This one is worth the investment. The vastness of the world and the beings in it is incredible leaving room for so much more! There is so much effort in the writing and world creation and the characters within. I also find it enjoyable that all the characters have varying degrees of relationships that do not center on or revolve around the MC. Shinji is wonderful. Aloof, charming, witty and very handsome. Kind of mysterious. The writing is beautiful and complex, drawing you into a world full of wonder and magic. You work your way through events, learning new things about 'yourself', the world and races - it's more complex than just a romance. PROS: - Complex world and Lore - Huge array of characters beyond the MC and LIs - The routes are all separate with completely different stories~! - The sprites, BGs and CGs are GORGEOUS - The music is really really lovely! - Really good writing CONS: - The format is a little unusual and potentially confusing for buyers - Buying routes and epilogues separately can feel pricey (but gives you freedom of who you want to romance)

It takes a while for Shinji to warm up to MC but once he does he's very sweet. His story was interesting and had a few surprisingly dark elements. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend it if you're interested in Shinji.

Oh my god. I was so anxious to get the next story that I FLEW through it to his first ending, including re-reading parts! Shinji is such a little shit, he's amazing and I love him lmao. The story was beautiful, the art was beautiful, and I'm so excited for upcoming releases! I'm about to go back and see what options give me new gems of info....though I have to say, I'm an absolute coward when it comes to upsetting them. Find the bad endings for me! First read through: passionate ending, approximately 3 hours. Plenty more content for me to go through still!

Someone spread honey all over Shinji, and Tsubasa wants a piece of that fae booty really bad. That’s the only explanation I can think of seeing how she acts towards Shin, but I’m okay with that. I enjoyed Shinji a lot, he’s a good man and can be a sarcastic little sh*t when he wants to, despite acting somewhat distant in the beginning of his route. Also, Tsubasa was great here; even under certain circumstances
like being cursed
I liked her, and the story telling of this route was the highlight for me. The villain this time was great, really. And the bad endings were quite violent, I liked that! I’m really glad to see more mature content in otome games. 9/10. Almost the perfect otome route for me, with great characters, violence, and intimate scenes.
