Xia: Legends of a Drift System is an excellent DLC for Tabletop Sim. The game table is very unique and the quality of the game/table is unlike any game I've ever played on TTS. There is some randomness in terms of dice rolling (For example sometimes you have to roll a D20 to see what happens when you fly through space debris) but not too much to make it a game about luck. There's a good selection of missions to keep the game running and I do enjoy the Title system as well.
Anyways a very good game to play with friends!
If you want to ask me any questions about the DLC or want to test it out, please feel free to message me and I can get a game set up for you :)

This board game is a great board game. this is as close as you can get to a truly open ended space game. The xpack will only make this game better, Hopefully they add it as a dlc so i can buy the xpack too and play it on here with my friends

Well-made game. The table (with animated surface) and pieces are cool and a reasonable amount of things are automated or assisted.
I wish there was a way to return mission cards to the mission discard pile automatically instead of having to drag them across the table. Choosing missions is already long and boring enough for other players who are waiting after you already.
Placing the ship pawns on specific hexes can sometimes be hard if you have even a slight camera angle. I think it's more Tabletop Simulator's fault than this module's authors' though. Same for the occasional functionality freezes or disconnects one player in our group experienced.
Some things from the physical boardgame such as ship cards being unique and therefore pickable by only one player don't seem to be enforced however.
It would be very appreciated to have the expansion Embers of a Forsaken Star included with this (as well as the other minor expansions the game got), as it's widely considered an improvement over the base game.

It's broken. Do NOT purchase. Every time I try to launch it, it gives me a message about "failing to load asset correctly", then freezes. Yes, I rebooted my computer, updated my drivers, verified integrity of files, reinstalled the game, etc etc etc. It's broken. Like broken broken. And, of course, you can't refund it because steam refunds are tied to the underlying game instead of the DLC. DO NOT purchase.

REally really really wanted to like this, but I can't get it to work. Managed to refund the TTS, but can't figure out how to refund this DLC. Good news is I only lost $4 since it was on sale. Some other people have apparently been luckier than me.
Xia is an AMAZING board game, but I haven't been able to get it to do anything on TTS. Can't even flip the table.

The level of polish in this is breathtaking. Custom background and table with animated drawers, nicely scripted overall, very good models and nice visual and sound effects. Props to whoever ported this to TTS, waiting on the expansion!

This DLC is of excellent quality, and really showcases what TTS is capable of, but it badly needs the Embers expansion either added or sold separately. Embers is essential for mitigating Xia's swinginess and randomness.

Overall, it's a very well produced DLC. It makes an otherwise complicated setup and tracking mod, into one that makes things simpler and less of a headache to manage. It's also intuitive in the way the user areas are presented. It's definitely attractive!
That said, it is a little outdated compared to where TTS is in 2020. The rulebook is a simple import of the actual rulebook and with it being vertical and dense, it's hard to read it within the mod due to limited zoom space and resolution. From a scripting perspective, you could feel the lack of a "Start Game" button, to help get the game going once all players have their dashboards setup. I also felt it odd (nitpick) there wasn't bank/wallet for credits on the dashboard anywhere, considering the credits don't stack.
All that said, the game itself being fun really caries this mod home! There are user mod's which contains the Embers expansion; it's essential at this point. In fact, don't bother buying this DLC unless you intend to use one on top of this mod.
Now that I think about it, It's actually a quite disappointing the expansion hasn't been integrated into the official DLC yet. The main reason I say that is due to the fact that the Embers expansion exists mainly to address/fix several of the major issues players were having with the base game rule set, and significantly improves the immersion.
I still recommend this DLC, but not without the caveat of using a user mod to include the Embers expansion. On it's own 6/10; with the rule improvements from the Embers expansion via user mods 8/10. Would've given either an extra point if there was "Start Game" scripting.

A Good official DLC for an amazing game. Some things are a bit clunky though. Such as when selecting a ship you have to cycle through all the ships and the abilities seperately to decide on what you want. I've fixed this in my save file but others may not. This is really difficult for new players since they are unfamiliar with what eash ship. On top of that, the ship selector has a forward and backwards selection but the abilities do not. This forces new players to cycle through abilities many times just to finally settle on one. Also, the noises are a bit too much. The trollier players will just spam the noises until you complain or kick them. and throughout a game, you have to listen to the cacophony of wizzes and whirrs and zaps and buzzes as everyone does stuff from moving cargo and outfits to placing damage or ships. I dont mind the sounds I just wish they were a little quieter without forcing me to lower the games global sound.
Overall, this is an impressive DLC and really shows off the capabilities of TTS's scripting and modding. Whoever made this DLC really went all out and it shows. Even if it wasnt one of my favorite games, I would have bought this just to support the amount of effort from Berserk and the team that made this DLC. Its a benifit that I would buy it no matter what to support Cody Miller and Far Off Games for designing a game that gives me hours of fun in-person and now in TTS each week. Looking forward to seeing an official release of the expansion for TTS since that really makes this game shine.

I am completely blown away by this DLC...
Not only is it an INCREDIBLE VALUE, since you can't buy "Xia" new for less than 200 bucks, but it looks and plays amazing!
To top it all off theres a mod on the workshop that adds in the expansion (requires purchasing this DLC), why is that a big deal?
Because it adds, new missions, events, sector tiles, ship updates, a new economy board, new NPC and most importantly for some: Solo play cards and rules!
