“He turned himself into a weird little pet creature, funniest shit I’ve ever seen”

Weird setting and puzzles in Luna: The Shadow Night, truly achieve that fairytale book feel.
Gameplay
Point and click puzzle game where you control two characters, each able to do something the other can’t, and occasionally gameplay sections are interrupted by short cutscenes that drive the story forward.
Story
Something about darkness and protecting who you love, the game isn’t exactly clear with the details as it doesn’t feature any sort of language to make this little tale as far reaching as possible.
X-Factor
Certainly its aesthetics, it looks as a children’s fairytales book.
Downsides
Moonman logic in puzzle games is only good if it makes humor of its absurdity, and no humor is found here José, on top of that many puzzles are tedious due to either repetitiveness of tasks or controls not properly registering making you mess up the execution and do the puzzle from the beginning.
The title features a beautiful ending cutscene, how is it a bad thing?
The ending cutscene alone contains more than double the artwork than the rest of the game, either this was an animation haphazardly turned into a game at the last second or a gross mismanagement of resources.
The worst offender here is how the two characters that you’ll see always on screen have only a couple of frames of choppy game animations compared to maybe minute things that get much better treatment.

It feels like it originally was a short animated movie but knowing there’s no monetary return in it they tacked on a barebones game, priced the 2 hour experience at 20$ and called it a day.
As an animation it looks cute, but as a game it fails almost completely.
