Surviving Mars Reviews

I like playing this game every once in awhile for the last few years. It's fun and engaging and scratches my civilization building itch. However, over the past couple of months the game hasn't been working. Not on Windows and not on Linux. It works for a little while and then some resource numbers appear on top of the view, and most of the controls stop working. If you are just buying this game now, I do not recommend. If the game gets fixed; I'll update my review.

The game is very fun!! Train DLC should get an update, so it works better, and has the same polish as the rest of the game, especially because it should be part of base game IMO. I will wright a better review later..

After so many hours of fun I really do recommend the game. You basically start with some drone, build some basic buildings for energy and materials. Then you start building domes to have citizens on mars. It has a good balance so that you always have to do something. It's not perfect, but good enough. Not everything is perfectly clear how it works, but it's good enough. And there are some "stories" that might bring you in a locked state after a while and might not be resolved without restarting the game. But all in all it's really fun.

80% of this game is waiting, and I still enjoy it. The city building is simple and fun, and the resource management layer outside of city-building is the same way. That said, the late game is pretty boring, and the green planet dlc is a must (even though every other dlc is a bust.) also, in lieu of bugfixes and other customization options, take the time to download Choggi's workshop mods as soon as you get the chance.

Excellent sim and sandbox game, entertaining, interesting and with very good balance. Highly recommended 👍

Loved the game and since it's been a while that I played, I wanted to check out the DLCs. Whoa, pricey! We both better wait until that becomes more reasonable.

Great game, super addictive. I you like management and world builder games this is one of my favorites!

AMAZING! How is this game not talked about more!?! Huge upgrade tree, absolutely TONS of content and incredibly accurate in terms of the science needed to terraform Mars. A game well ahead of it's time!! Well done devs!!!!

[h1] For me this is the best Mars colony building sim. Plenty of structures, everything is well made and engage grey cells. This is kind of strategy that you will hold to for a while and think about how to improve on your last gameplay. Strongly recommended. [/h1]
