A very solid action-adventure game featuring some decent hack and slash combat, puzzles and exploration. Fun gameplay overall and not overly long if you just want to do a normal play through.
Though one dungeon
The Black Throne
really took the pacing out and was not very enjoyable in my opinion so that slightly soured the experience.
Glad I could go back and play this game and would recommend if you just want a nice experience of a different era of games that were not terribly bloated. Looking forward to trying out the sequel which is always a good sign.

Darksiders delivers a compelling mix of storytelling and gameplay. The characters and storyline are both intriguing, blending myth and biblical legend into a unique, post-apocalyptic universe. I really enjoyed how the game reimagined elements from the Bible, especially the Four Horsemen, to create something original and immersive. The designs of the demons and angels stood out, each with distinct motives and appearances that added depth to the world. The gameplay itself was fun and engaging, combining action, puzzles, and exploration in a satisfying way. I’m excited to dive into the next installment in the series.

Darksiders is the unofficial offspring of Zelda and God of War. There isn't anything particularly ground-breaking to be found, but it succeeds in delivering a solid a solid action-adventure experience, and, without spoiling too much, it has probably one of the most satisfying endings in gaming history. Overall it is a very well made, entertaining experience.

So, I 100%'ed this game for nostalgia's sake, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend people to revisit this game. Not only is it technically a bit wonky on the SteamDeck (took a little trial and error to stop it from crashing, and I never got the cutscenes to work), but it also just didn't age that well. The combat is very unbalanced and repetitive. The puzzles are not that interesting by todays standards and overstay their welcome. Navigating the world is a slog. It really is one of those games that was fine for when it came out, but that didn't stand the test of time.
The one area where Darksiders does shine is the atmosphere. It walks a fine line between tongue-in-cheek edginess and being genuinely cool. It's carried by a decent story and, while the mechanics might be outdated, there still isn't a boss design in the game that won't make you go "damn that's kinda badass". Unfortunately this is also the area that's hurt most by the cutscenes not working, so you're really not left with any reason to buy and play this.
Buy this if you have nostalgia for it and know you'll be playing it looking through rose tinted glasses. If not, don't bother.

Overall it was a very good and solid game! Some parts were surely too long but still it was an enjoyable experience. Time to try the second part!

3/10 game
The game has full of Bug/Glitch, from a small/ soft lock glitch to Hard lock/game breaking bugs.
My advice is save the game often with multiple save file, especially after hand over boss heart to Samael and beginning of level. You never knew when the game is bugging out and seem like there are no way to avoid them. Just base on luck/unluck.

I played the game a while back and I liked it. I'm giving it a bad review because the game has crashed like 20 times and I already tried a bunch of different things to get it to work and it just keeps crashing at every cutscene. Basically, can't get past the tutorial. This seems to have been an issue ever since the remaster came out back in 2016, can't believe they never fixed it.

Foda demais, eu que n curto hack n slash amei, o combate é intuitivo e tem respiros com exploração e puzzles divertidos, mas a história é a parada mais foda desse jogo e me segurou até o ultimo segundo!
