Ok fun fact time, one these are not meant to be used by the defualt rpg maker system these are best used for paralax maping it says so in descriptiong. This is why you make the map in photo shop, and load it up in game and use plugins to define where you can and can't walk among other things. This means it does take a bit of skill, and more diffcult then normal tilesets to use.
Also all these medieval sets are ripped straight from daz 3d store assets. Meaning it makes it very easy to use if you use daz 3d at all for CG. Like I got annoyed when I first saw all the stuff on here is from daz, then realized how much of a pain it would been to get the right angles, and render each one at the right pixel counts to make it myself and went meh this was worth buying on sale in a bundle to save me hours upon hours of work for slightly worse results lol.
Just wish he/she did more daz 3d asset conversions to rpgmaker, would be nice to see a scifi pack or something down road, but I kind of get it these resource packs not exactly cheap on 3d daz store, and I hope they got all the licenses before they made these :P

Please be aware that you will not use these resources the same way you would traditional RPGMaker resources. This is primarily for parallax mapping, isometric games similar to Diablo, Ultima, Fallout 1 and 2, Baulder's Gate, etc.
These resources will require you to do a lot of research and go through many tutorials. However, if you go to the PVGames website or forum you will find an abundance of in depth guides. Even more, the customer service is exceptional, the company will respond to messages about problems or you can post it to their forum and get a response quickly.
These resources will let you make games with better graphics all around. If you're looking at making a more "serious" toned RPG this is worth the investment of time and money.

Tip for anyone having trouble, adjust your animations and frequency rates to get a smooth walking look or animation, or as smooth as rpg maker can be. Get GIMP or photoshop, make your character (load each layer individually) and export with a
$ symbol in front of it. Great product btw, loving it.

The people leaving the negative reviews: Not sure what more tutorial you are expecting from a tileset pack. If you've used RPG Maker enough to warrant spending money on tilesets, you should have a general understanding of how they work.
There is a very lengthy readme detailing everything you would need, and all tilesets are labeled correctly. For the price, there is an amazing amount of resources in this. Great job!

Bought a few of these asset packs and i'm loving them so far, they take some patience and research to get running properly so don't get discouraged and listen to bad reviews if you like the artwork take the time to learn parallax mapping he even has a tutorial video along with many other youtubers to help you out, ALSO huge tip for creating characters, the developer with the help of others has a character creater generator available in the forums in Beta i believe but i haven't had much problems with it and im hoping it gets touched up a bit and is included with any future products. All in all i've found these to be well worth the price especially on sale. TIp for Character sprite sheets if you rename the .png with $ infront mv will fit the sprite correctly

I just got this a day or two ago. I haven't had the chance to really look over the creature or town tiles much, because I've been too busy playing with the absolutely GORGEOUS character options. They're versatile, and much more realistic than most sprites.
Most of the clothing and accessories have only 3-6 options per category (5 pair men's pants, 9 men's tops, 2 men's headware, etc), but there are a fair number of categories. There are also 6 (for men) and 7 (for women) hair styles, with 4 color alternatives for each.
I got this pack on sale for half price ($4.99), and in my opinion, it's well worth it even if I'd paid full price, just for the beautiful characters.

very little product. no battlers, walking animations are not sized right, and no good tutorial help getting proper animations right. all you can do is a little scenery and a few variations on some bust and face pictures. at least the sv battlers work right.

Before you buy it, ask yourself this:
What do you want?
Because this DLC is not your standard plug and play DLC like all those others. Assets made by PVGames are unique.
You'll get lots of materials. However, these materials are designed to make your game less RPG makerish. The ground tilesets are ground tilesets, but everything else is pretty much for parallaxing.
If you want to use the charsets provided by this DLC though, you'll definitely end up buying more resources though, because these charsets are not only huge (128x128 instead of RPG maker's 48x48), but also so unique that the standard charsets are just incompatible.
You'll likely spend hours trying to get it to work before you can even start to use these DLCs on your project. However, with work comes reward :)

I rarely buy DLC anything. But I could not pass up the adult sized characters. Bought this and then spend 2 hours getting frustrated. BUT that was completely all my fault. Contacted the developer and s/he helped me out. Went way above and beyond helping me. Once all setup it is rather nice.
Artwork is fantastic, has a crisper look than any default tiles and a smoother look over many of the other tiles sets you can find floating around the internet.
You will need a few scripts to get everything to work perfect. (But let’s be honest, this is MV, everything needs a script.)
Big thumbs up on this.

Ok so I noticed that dislikes and bad reviews for the Medieval: Town & Country Pack are hidden. So for everyone else I marked this as a good review even though its not. Heres what i have to say about this:
Rpg Maker is supposed to be known for its easy game creation system, which is great! I know there are some people who are real pros at making plugins or scripts for Rpg Maker, or can create your own tiles or sprites from scratch. I only advise people with photo editing and scripting experience to buy this item, because its not as simple as putting files into a folder. You actually have to open naked characters files, open clothing/armor files and layer it yourself on each sprite. Same goes for hair, boots, etc. It doesn't seem clear but you may also have to change sprite sheet sizes to make them work too, im not really sure. There are sprite sheets for diagonal walking characters but MV doesn't naturally support walking diagonally, so you have to have proper plugins/scripts for that too, which don't come with this item. Not to mension you have to layer the armor and clothes on them too! Overall, for people who like to just enjoy the ease of Rpg Maker, this is not for you. I made the mistake of buying this and there is no reason you should too. Oh And for those who actually want to use this item and CAN use this item, Congratulations! Keep being awesome! :)
