The levels are not very challenging, took about 40 min to finish the game. Some of the later puzzles boards are bigger with more colors, have a longer solution but they are not more difficult. I do like this game idea. I would recommend it to others, but if I could have a do over, I would NOT buy it myself. In my opinion, this game doesn't have enough complexity to be that interesting, and unfortunately, that complexity is limited by the curent boundaries of the gameboard (the main problem being, the more colors options the designer adds, the harder it is for him/her to disguise the solution path, which is why the 'smart' and 'genius' levels are not really hard at all. I think to fully realize this idea, the game board would have to at least be on some 3D, perhap even with klein bottle characteristics (cube can roll on either side of the 3D board). A minor complain is that I don't would like to control the speed of the cube so I can move faster and also I don't want to wait for the colors to change. By the time I make my first move, I already know the solution and I don't want to waste time.

Cubicolor is not long, not too hard, and pretty relaxing. In terms of puzzle games, it really hits that perfect balance in evoking some productive struggle while not causing a lot of frustration. A surprisingly chill game. Recommended.

What a great little set of puzzles. I absolutely love these line-pathing games. This one hits all the right notes, and just needs a few QOL improvements (back button, pressing 'R' to restart, faster fluid animation) to really shine. A fun prototype that I wish had a more full-fledged sequel.

Hola, ¿qué tal? This review of mine is going to be very different and the decision to do it this way is based on the fact that I want to give a hidden hint of what I missed about the game but without saying it. Achtung! The following has already been described more than extensively here, but I'll say it again for anyone who hasn't noticed, or simply enjoy reading reviews all day. Tehát: The way to the respective exits leads you over colorful quadtrates, the correct route of which must be found with or without a brain, while shallow piano notes ring out. Quoi d'autre ?: You check the game board and plan a route or just go for it. DAN: If you make a mistake, you simply reset and try another path. That's it / Ende / no más / ...

This is a very short game if you're used to these kinds of puzzles. 48 puzzles in total. Nothing much else to offer after you solve them all. Only issue I had, hardware wise, was the FPS was in single digits when there was a lot of 3d objects in a level, but soon as I got close to the end of the level my FPS goes up gradually The music is very soothing for a puzzle game. While I could do a refund since I beaten it under 2 hours, I won't. I would find that abusing the refund policy. Besides, I liked the concept it had. Gotten stuck a few times but usually managed to find a solution after a few attempts. It's a keeper. ----- Check out more games I see that deserve more attention from my curator group: BluePaw's Underrated Games List Join and/or follow if you wish.

a neat little puzzle game where you roll a cube around to change its color, step on the colored block, then move on to the next and eventually reach the exit. not too complicated and the 48 (not 50 as the store page says) levels can be completed within an hour or two, so I'd say the price is fair as well. but the main reason I wanted to give it a thumbs up is because it has a great settings menu. and when I say great, I mean it has all the basic options every single game, minimalistic puzzler or not, should have, like separate volume sliders, resolution options and windowed mode. if I had to complain, I'd mention the lack of an undo option but it's not really necessary, or the coloring animation being a bit slow, but that's just my impatience talking.

A decent puzzle game. Simple mechanics and good level design. Starts out very easy, only becomes challenging in the last difficulty level. The last 16 levels hit the sweet spot, challenging enough to be enjoyable, but not frustrating, Shame there are only 48 levels. Finished them all in just under an hour. Runs well on Linux. 1080p@60 no slowdowns.

Rather slow puzzler with a decent concept (find a path connecting nodes) which doesn't ever challenge. Out of 48 puzzles there were only up to 5 which I needed more than one go at, and those didn't include the final few puzzles. it's also rather sluggish to control with an awkward delay whenever you pick up or deliver a colour which isn't what you want with this kind of game. All in all, I came away with the impression that this was someone's first game and that they were rather proud of it, and if that's true then they should be somewhat proud of it as it is very functional, I'm just not sure it's worth money (even with the suitably low price point).

Cubicolor is an awesome minimalistic puzzle game, that features 48 different levels and has a really nice piano soundtrack that greatly blends with the general feeling of the game itself. If you love puzzle/logic games, you'll love this one for sure :) The game's mechanics are quite simple - you'll have a rectangle-shaped playing board over a plain white background, with colored cubes over it. The white tiles that form the board will feature two kinds of designs - a full colored one (i.e.: a tile completley painted of blue, red, yellow etc.) or a cross-shaped colored tile (of the same colors). Playing as a black cube, you'll be required to step on the colored symbols - they will color your cube entirely of their own color - and, as a now-green, yellow etc. cube, you will have to paint the whole path and reach the exit. Obviously, there will be a rather nice difficulty progression so that you'll have a board with 2, 3, 4 and so on colored tiles (which are the respective "exits" of the colors) and the same amount of crosses.. so that your goal will be to create paths (of course, upon coloring a tile it will disappear and you can only pass once through a path) that will both connect your colored cube to its corresponding exit and, in the end, reach the black square that will forcibly be the last square you'll have to reach having colored - and thus removed - all the other ones. Trust me - it's way easier to play it rather than to explain it xD It's greatly made and everything goes on smooth and fast, it's entertaining, quite long and addictive.. and also quite challenging!! Too bad that this developer has published only this game :') So, well, the "genius" series will often feature your final black square over like 8 other colored squares, meaning that you've got to wear a blue suit and go to the blue square - but there will be two for every color! choose wisely xD - and so on with all the other ones. All the colors are bright and anyways with a bit of logic and thinking (you can look up some guide if you really need.. like I did sometimes XD) you'll make it through every level. Really, this is how a logic/puzzle game should be made :) The 48 levels will be split into three categories - namely normal, smart and genius levels as I said, but the difficulty progression's great and you can also play casually this game without spending too much time in single sessions. And the hours you'll spend here - 3 or 4 I think - will be hours of complete relax - no timers, no cooldowns, no bonuses and no distractions, just a soothing piano music and your logic puzzle game :) Plus, you'll also be able to remap your controls since you'll need to restart quite often late in the game xD The lack of a button that makes you undo your previous action isn't really a big concern - of course it would have been nice, but the levels run all smoothly and they are never that long so that if you really mess up something, just hit restart and it's ok :) I really hope that these devs will publish more games in the future, but as of 2018 if you're a fan of logic and puzzle games in general be sure you don't miss this title!

48 easy- tough/ interesting puzzles. Really incredible work of the developer to make so much (levels) of such a creativ idea. Puzzle fans should buy it, i give 97 %. Sadly for achievement hunter only 3 achievement (could be more like 48 for each level, better than nothing) and so i can if there only 75 % because this few arent hard (Youtube for normal, 2 guides for smart, genius level if you stuck). Thx 4 reading.
