The main game story will expand on this DLC in three acts. We will play with Bill Watt, Indian Warrior, and Slippery Pitt in act order with their unique playstyle. Even the gameplay is mainly combat-focused rather than storytelling whole experience is still the same as the main game except for these parts: - The gameplay difficulty had a big jump. It is so hard and challenging to finish this DLC. - There is no separate chapter in these acts. We have to go from start to end in one session. Happy Gaming

I've just uninstalled when I got to Pit chapter, him not being able to shoot and instead lay traps, yea not going to bother with that. Game is fun at times but it's ridiculously hard, especially first chapter which then comes down to you memorizing the enemies and going trial by error for 20 times before you get lucky enough not to get sniped from the complete opposite side of the map. Base game had its flaws but was still fun, this DLC is nothing like that. I mildly enjoyed Indian warrior part but that's about it. Broken English translation has always bothered me with this game, you cannot seriously type your instead of you're, just don't. So sure grab this if you see a heavy discount like I did, 1.74 if I am not mistaken, anything above is a waste of money.

Overally very decent. Had couple of crashes, which never happende in the main game, but gameplaywise its fun. Characters do feel differently and thats ultimately all that matters. After all the formula remains the same, and why should'nt it? It works.

The dlc crashes sometimes, it's very annoying. The gameplay is much more harder than the basic game, I don't recommend buying this dlc. Maybe if you want to see what happens in the story, just search it on youtube.

I'm not one to write many negative reviews, but I've gotta say, this DLC sucks. While the idea is great, playing as three different characters each with their own mechanics, and their stories being connected to that of the main character (serving as an epilogue of sorts), the execution is terrible. So, for the good stuff: well, there's not much. As I said, the general premise of the DLC's story is nice: three characters find each other after the events of the main game, and they all relate how they got there. Plus, each character has their own abilities: Bill Watt can summon help from his gang members, the Indian Warrior uses a bow and arrow, and Slippery Pitt focuses on stealth and traps. Good stuff, except, again, it's executed terribly. For starters, during Bill's chapter, you'll mostly be playing as you did in the main game, as his helpers suck (plus, you can't really make out who're members of your gang and who're enemies in the middle of the fight). Now, the Indian Warrior, I found to be the best character and chapter in the game, as his arrows could be recovered after killing enemies, and could even hit multiple targets. As for Slippery Pitt, I can see what they were trying to do by making him suck at firing guns, but it doesn't translate to fun gameplay: his traps are slow to set up, and the gun doesn't even work as an emergency defense. Plus, stealth also sucks, as once an enemy even gets a glimpse of you, practically every other enemy will start heading towards you; some of his levels, I simply rushed to the exit hoping I wouldn't get shot. Which brings me to my next point: the difficulty in the DLC is ridiculous; I don't remember the main game being as hard as this. Enemies are quick to spot you and have some pretty good aim, not to mention the amount of them present on each level. That, plus a few questionable design choices (like a level in Slippery Pitt's chapter where you control a cart and need to avoid rocks), make for this to be a rather forgettable experience, and one which I can't honestly recommend, not even for the little closure it bring to the story. So yeah, I don't recommend this.

I'm only recommending it because there was obviously a lot of work made in this expansion and because it concludes the story, still it should only be bought by people who really liked the original game. The problem with this is that it has a significant increase in difficulty but not in a fair way, many times you will die not because of your mistakes but because there will be an enemy put in a cheap place. The expansion itself is not that long but it will probably take you longer to complete than the main game due to it's difficulty.

well, it's hard to recommend it at whole price. I literally finished it in a couple of hours. Pro: - more difficult - some additions (traps, get help from the rest of the gang, explosive arrows) - it continues the main story plot Cons: - very very short - if you don't remember to use the long sight (Shift button), it's impossible to complete- and the DLC doesn't remind you of this functionality - apart from shooting, not much else I bought it at 90% discount. And I still felt I spent too much.
Introduction
12 is Better Than 6: The Apostles continues the story of the main game and adds three new acts, each focused on a different character.
Pros & Cons
Pros: + Fast paced action, same as in the main game + Each act offers a bit different kind of gameplay Cons: - Two of the levels are fundamentally broken - Lots of frustrating moments - Technical issues
Story
It starts where the main story has left off, so I'll try not spoil anything. It begins with three characters: Cowboy, Mexican and Indian meeting each other near a coffin. Each of them tells a story about who they are and how they got here. I'd say it's even less interesting than the main game's story, but it was probably done to the benefit of the gameplay.
Gameplay
Each act of the DLC features a different playable character. In the first act, you play as a gang leader, who can order his goons to help him in battle. He also has an automatic shotgun as his default weapon. The second act is played from a perspective of Indian warrior, who's armed with a bow, he cannot use white man's weapons, but he has some explosive arrows, that will help you deal with big amount of enemies. In the third act, the game makes a complete turn around with a character who can't shoot straight. Instead, you will have to rely on stealth and traps. It also features two levels that put you into unique situations, in one you have to ride on a boat while shooting enemies and evading obstacles. In another one, you will drive a horse carriage while evading rocks and enemies. While it sounds like this DLC adds a lot of interesting ideas to the game, it is plagued by issues. Those two unique levels are balanced poorly, and you will often die due to random and not your abilities. The ability to call on your partners that is available in the first act is almost useless, since it's easy to mistake your allies for foes and their AI isn't very smart, so they will get themselves shot even without your help. The third act is very frustrating, because your character can't shoot straight and doesn't have a knife for stealth takeouts. So you will have to lay down traps and lure enemies to them, hoping that some stray bullet won't end your life in the process. I've also experienced a very frustrating technical issue, sometimes the game would crash to desktop when you die. This issue only appeared in a third act, which is also the hardest one. So you can imagine how annoying it can be to relaunch the game every five minutes or so.
Conclusion
12 is Better Than 6: The Apostles may sound like a fun addition to the main game on paper, but in fact almost every feature it adds has a flaw to it. Recommended only to those who loved the game and wants to support the developer. Others should stay away from this DLC.

I want to recommend this but I really can't. If you're looking for an extension of the main game this isn't it. It's almost hard for the sake of being hard. I wouldn't mind that, but the enemies can see you before you can see them and are much more accurate. Frequently you will get hit by someone off screen. Sometimes they start shooting before they are even turned to face you. I had a guy that shot the guy in front of him because he activated and fired the moment he was on my screen. You might like it, but there's just a lot of little flaws that I don't care for. Especially not at regular price.

More difficult than the main game. I liked how three characters are different and how levels are polished. I'd like more shootouts, however, and Pitt's horse sequence doesn't make sense. The music is great and this DLC exactly feels like the continuation the 12 > 6 deserved.
