The gameplay and design didn't click with me, and it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. I was sure it would be more like Cave Story, but it's not. There are better Metroidvanias to play, especially since it's been over 8 years since Pharaoh Rebirth+ was released on Steam.

Up to Stage 5 it is very enjoyable, but Stage 5 ruined it for me because it's hard to get a read-ahead and there are ALSO collectibles to find, couldn't get past it. Think DKC Minecart Hell.
Also worth noting this game is very old, to the point it's still in 4:3 format.
