The Chosen RPG isn’t a great game, but it’s not bad either—it sort of floats in that weird middle space. I didn’t care much for the enemy graphics, which look like stock art slapped into place, but the gameplay itself was actually okay. Classic turn-based combat, simple mechanics, and enough progression to keep you going for a couple hours.
There’s a lot of reading—and unfortunately, no narration to help carry the story. That might turn some people off, especially since the plot is standard "chosen one saves the world" fare. Characters are pretty one-dimensional too, but the game doesn’t really pretend to be more than what it is.
What it is, though, is a short little RPG Maker adventure that doesn’t overstay its welcome. For the price, you get a few hours of decent, nostalgic gameplay. Don’t expect polish or depth, but if you’re in the mood for something light and retro, it’s a passable distraction.

This game has a lot of grinding. If you like those kind of games, this is for you.
For me, It's too much grinding, I've spend 3 hours playing just to level up to progress.
What a waste. Tedious, constant need for grinding, and unengaging.

RPG Maker game with weak story, flat characters, and decent animations, but ultimately forgettable experience.
