game gives off very unfinished feel. buggy UI, no information on what gets unlocked when doing quest. tower/minon upgrade seems bugged and does nothing. game is fun if you like megabonk but I'd stay away for now.

Genuinely want to like this game but as of right now it is false-advertisement and does not match the store description of the game whatsoever. Yes, it is a Megabonk-like with similar game play and co-op, however, it is not a tower defense game in any aspect. The games description states it is a "survivor like with co-op and tower defense". The store page lists out the core premise of tower defense as well "At the center of the arena stands the Beacon - the heart of your settlement and your last line of defense. As long as it burns, your team still has a chance. If the Beacon falls, darkness consumes everything.". This will lead any player to believe that they are buying a game with tower-defense mechanics as that is being advertised however there is ZERO and I legit mean ZERO aspects of tower defense this game.
Yes, you can purchase and upgrade buildings that eventually spawn walls around your beacon but they are just diegetic upgrades. There is 0 interaction with the 'beacon' from both the player and enemies. The 'beacon' even has a health bar in the top left that never changes. The enemies never go to the beacon and attack it. There is nothing to defend. There is no 'beacon falling' mechanic at all. The runs simply end when all players are dead at the same time.
So, as of right now, the game is straight up missing it's core feature that is promised to players. It is false advertisement from the devs. I will happily change my review to positive if someone could show me that this is user-error or the mechanic actually gets implemented as advertised.

I definitely can't recommend buying this game in its current state.
The core gameplay is enjoyable and the game has a lot of potential, but the technical issues completely overshadow it. The unusually high GPU usage is concerning, performance is unstable, and the co-op mode - the main reason my friends and I bought the game - is often broken. Even when it works, the current balance makes the experience enjoyable for only one player.
I simply can't understand how the developers considered this ready for a full release. It feels much closer to an Early Access title than a finished product.
Pros
-Fun core gameplay concept
-Good potential if the technical issues are resolved
Cons
-Extremely high GPU usage (up to 80%) even when nothing is happening
-Frequent crashes and inconsistent performance
-Basically no graphics settings
-Broken co-op/multiplayer with connection issues
-Towers serve no purpose
-Co-op progression is poorly balanced – the player who gets the most power-ups has all the fun, while everyone else ends up feeling like spectators.
-Feels unfinished despite being a full release
Once all these issues are fixed I have no problem changing my review, but until then I'm keeping it negative.

If you enjoy Megabonk, Risk of rain &' Vampire survivors with base building elements, you will enjoy this game!!
But since no one will see this review anyway, i might aswell just say it, my thighs are MASSIVE &' very jiggly.

I do not like how when you play co-op the buildings you build are separate I think that is a weird game choice. You can't interact with your friend's building nor upgrade from it. The towers are useless as ♥♥♥♥. This game is NOT a tower defense game. Meta progression is pretty boring. I do not like the point of a gacha system but also add a different currency to buy locked items? Unfortunately I cannot refund the game. Maybe this game needs more time to cook, but as of right now it's a no for me.
Update: with xp being shared, it's actually pretty fun :3

This is an example of wishing I could give a neutral review. I'm going to give it a thumbs up (recommended) because it's worth keeping an eye on. It's got some fantastic ideas, and a few things are executed very well, but many things are not. Overall, the game is great, but buggy and feels incomplete.
This game feels like it should be treated as early access, not a full release.
The good:
- A survivors/bullet heaven/rogue-like in the vein of Megabonk (if you haven't played that, then think: Vampire survivors in 3D, or a survivors-like Risk of Rain 2). I can't seem to get enough of this genre
- Cool fast paced city building concept in the middle of the fight.
- Controls overall feel good (mouse and keyboard for me)
- Lots of unlockables
- Is genuinely fun
- (Edit: Several hours in, and I'm still just having a ton of fun. Sure, it's flawed, will likely improve since the developer is responsive and working on it. But the dopamine is flowing.)
The bad:
- Buggy. Some people have said it's game breaking, but I haven't encountered anything game breaking myself. Lots of audio bugs, some control bugs. So buggy. (Edit: Already, many major bugs have already been fixed, so this is no longer as big of an issue as it was)
- No invincibility frames after taking damage: This means that you can die so fast that it feels instantaneous and unfair. Definitely needs i-frames.
- Little to no visual feedback or impact from being hit. Makes it very hard to know if you're even being hit at all and the defeat screen is extremely abrupt, often coming out of nowhere (tied to the i-frame thing).
- No tooltips in game over items. A weird omission.
- The button to quit to windows is only visible on one screen, and kind of hard to find. Very strange design choice and really needs fixed. There's been a couple times where I couldn't even get to the button, alt+f4 didn't work, and I had to use the task manager to close the game.
This game has promise, but really needs to have quite a few things ironed out and addressed. As long as the dev listens to people reporting bugs and fixes things, and continues to improve the game, this is a good one.
Edit: The developer is actively reading reviews, bug reports and feedback in their discord, and listening to those playing. Based on that, they have already made several significant changes and appear to continue doing so. I'm happy to say that I would no longer give this only a neutral review if possible, but definitely a solid recommended. It's still not perfect, but dang am I having a lot of fun anyway.

this game is sooooooo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ early access it hurts:
half of the buttons are in russian.
the progression isn't done.
the character unlock requirements are hidden from you.
the gameplay is serviceable at best.
2 maps 1 being unselectable in multiplayer.
little enemy diversity.
buildings are near useless.
does nothing to shake up the genre except multiplayer which feels like a hinderance since there is little to do save for steal your teammates money and exp.
weapons feel uninspired.
little incentive for build variety.
there are 3 bosses total on both maps that are just bullet sponges with no variety in attack pattern.
towers are a nuisance at best.
the gryphon building is all but worthless.
chests have no logic to costs.
2 characters unlocked at the start with a 4 player game means that characters are forced to stack.
the elf feels worthless anyways so 4 cats are running around at every given moment.
it's not even marked as early access so no advertisement to new player.
literally no redeeming qualities other than you get a cute cat.

The multiplayer is completely broken.
The mechanics prevent any kind of co-op gameplay. It feels like two people are each playing a single-player game. And if one player is significantly higher in level, the other just ends up watching.
Apart from that, this game is completely buggy.
The basic idea of Megabonk in co-op is fantastic. But the implementation at launch is poor.
I’ll check back in six months and hope I can update my review then. For now, though, I don’t recommend it.

Highly recommended! I even bought the game for friends so we could play together. It's a lot of fun, but there are currently some frustrating issues and design flaws that desperately need to be fixed:
Deaths & Respawns: You shouldn't get the deathscreen instantly upon dying. A 3–5 second cooldown would be great to see what actually killed you. Also, mounts or enemies should absolutely never spawn directly inside the player (which has already ruined our 20-minute runs TWICE).
Hit Feedback: Shots currently lack any impact – hit sounds and better feedback would make the game feel way less cheap. Bosses also need better visual clarity, as red attacks are often way too transparent and we over see them.
UI & Menus: The menu is extremely confusing and inconsistent (e.g., quest claims after clicking it but has a claim button that is not needed at all, or missing progress bars for skins/puzzles and quest dont show a ! Symbol when finished & claimable so u need to click and search after every round.).
Groups & Collision: You get kicked out of the group when returning to the lobby, thats really annoying if u are a group who just want to upgrade or unlock stuff... always re-invite. Please add a go to main menu with group option.
When buying towers, you sometimes get pushed back and land right inside enemies (a 2-second no-collision grace period for players would fix this).
Health Bar & Leaderboards: It’s often way too hard to notice when you are low HP until it's too late, we need a much more obvious low HP screen effect or sound. Finally, the leaderboards should show which character was played so we can see what the top players play. (just like megabonk does it)
Great foundation, but with a bit of polish and bug fixing, it easily becomes a 10/10 - right now 7/10.
