So far, an awesome game, in my personal opinion better than L4D2, it's got a few bugs here and there since it is still unfinished. (The only one I've found is that the AI will fall through the floor on the first level just before the wagon) The classes are fun and the loot is either great or irritating dependant on your roles. I would love to see some new classes and species, such as a lizardman, a beastman, and an undead. Anyways, I'd recommend buying this game.

Feels like this should have been part of the main game.
It wasn't there from launch? What a barren game it must have been, I suppose.
Good thing it is a free update.

Sigmar's Blessing adds the ability to pray for new gear, and change passive traits on weapons. Free, positive addition to Vermintide.

If you wanted an upgrade to Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2, this is it.
Same type of gameplay. Set in the Warhammer Fantasy world, and killing giant soldier rats in place of runner zombies and mutants.
Pure co-op, and when you complete missions, you have a chance of picking up gear that will let you customize your characters. Levels go up to increase benefits, and with the much-needed free DLC (what we used to call a patch...), you can modify, sell off, and use extra loot to make better loot.
Worried it's too easy? Worry not. Easy in this game is Normal to everything else. Hard is an absolute f***ing nightmare. And Nightmare? Well, it's worse than that.
5 stars for a multiplayer co-op experience filled with rats, guns, swords, fire and black blood filling the streets in order to save the world from the rising rat threat.

Game free now after buying all dlc for $20....not mad because the game is worth it for backstory of vermintide 2 which is better and way more fun. Skip Darktide and go play Vermintide 2. When you had fun gaming like it used to be, come back to this to figure out wtf you were doing in vermintide 2.

tl;dr - Yes, you should buy, especially if you liked Left 4 Dead.
This is a Co-op hack and slash RPG game with various monster types all based off of rats. Easy and Normal difficulty are not too bad, but once you get into Hard, Nightmare or Cataclysm, you'll need to be skilled and have earned some decent weapons and armor and trinkets.
The DLC so far for this game has been free and based on player feedback. Players can now roll using melted items to create new items for the hero they most like to play and there are trinkets which help you to roll loot at mission completion for the hero type you like to play.

Technically I gues this is DL, I guess. I'm not sure why they called this DLC when it's really just a free update but it does add significant content to an already awesome game. The Devs are obviously committed to adding to this game and also obciously care about it. This "DLC" is a prime example.
Please ignore the Ghot1ckov1tch's review because he clearly does not know how to use the shrine or forge. You will eventually earn so many White, Green, blue and eventually orange weapons that you'll consume them in the shrine or anvil without even a second thought. The reason you would consume them is to get better ones or ones you are looking for or just the same ones you have but with different perks.
To explain; You consume duplicate weapons or trinkets to get Gems. Those gems can be used at the forge to unlock perks on new weapons or at the shrine to max out the stats on those perks after onlocking them, or those gems can be used at the shrine to roll random weapons in the hope you get new ones or dupicate weapons so you can combine in the forge to upgrade to the next tier of that weapon. It's actually a really great system that allows you to eventually get every weapon at the hioghest tier, even if you have crappy luck with rolls at the end of missions. This actally can make those crappy rolls very valuable in the long run. Due to this system (and the new "quests" they added for free in an update) I now have almost every weapon at the Orange tier (orange is the 2nd to highest tier, Red is the absolute highest but you can only get with really good rolls in Nightmare and Cataclysm difficulty modes). Writing it here, it seems complicated but it really is not at all.
All in all, this is quality FREE content added to a great game and I highly recomend it.

Adds a bunch of craftingstations to the inn to give the player a someone better chance to aquire the weapons they seek. It is rudimentary and still rather swingy but is miles better than it was before.. Should ideally have been a part of the game on release, but since it is free and no questions asked how can I not recommend it!

Free DLC, that finally sees a use for all the tons and tons of horrible item drops. No longer will your vault stay full of needless greens and blues, hoping for a good roll to get some useful attributes! Definitely addresses one of the few issues I ever had with the game, now it's just onwards to glorious rat bashing. Keep up the great work Fat Shark!
